In case you were wondering why Maya was all sad&stuff when she saw the Cyclopes-person(?), well I am here to help.

(Fizz has short hair now because I want short hair but I can't have it)

Well, the Cyclopes is a golem, and you don't know this, but golems resemble someone that their maker has an emotional connection with (it tends to look like someone who's not with you anymore, but there's an exception to every rule)

And Maya saw one of her old friends, basically and [ ] happened to her (words omitted due to graphic detail).

So she was really happy sad.

And, just so you know, all of the people who the golems are based on are in my first art book (tread carefully), though I won't tell you why they're based on those people.
