Julian is confident and succesful. The business man may be the sexiest thing in Luce's town but he is still the boy next door that she's hopelessly obsessed with, with the dark hair, blue eyes and gorgeous slanting cheek bones that would put artist sculptures to shame. Julian is also, consequently, her old brother's best friend and practically part of Luce's family.
Hence why him seeing her naked before her cousin's wedding did not sit well with her sanity or her flimsy confidence. Fifty phonecalls a night and eight days later, Julian leaves Luce no choice.
