"I'm not going to the party! I never go to parties." I replied quickly to her request.
"Don't be such a buzzkill, Jessi! It's a Jason Thomas party!" Holly mentioned like it was ever going to change my mind.
" Then I am officially not going!"
" What is your bad beef with Jason? Oh my gosh! Everyone is going to be there plus he's a total hunk. I just don't understand."
"He's a total jerk and a total heart breaker. A typical high school boy..."
" Whateves." Holly replied.
We continued our regular chat and talked about how I'm never going to be that social butterfly. I really wasn't. I'm like one of those people who fit into a lot of groups but doesn't really fit into any groups with high power. I make up words even if they do exist... Like socialness. Is that a word?
Anyways, I don't believe in backpacks going to class. It was a silly mistake since people knock into me all the time. I'm kind of like a social outcast but not exactly. I try to avoid encounters with other people of the high social status. It's just my nature.
" Holly, I just think that I don't really think I'm top of the world. Everyone is equ-..."
OOMPH. I fell and my books scattered. "Hey watch it!" I stood up and stared. Ugh. It's him.
"I'm sorry, I re- Jessica Blake? How has it been? I haven't seen you in forever! I thought you moved."
I was a little confused. He only lives 5 houses down and that is not enough to even turn the corner yet. " Wow. We see each other like every morning."
" Well, I'm sorry. Maybe we should catch up sometime?" He replied. I wanted to say something really mean, but I really wanted to accept. But he's such a jerk!
" You don't want to hang out with it. Trust me... It's like gross lunch meat." Ashley added in. Since when in the world am I an it?
" Actually Rashley, It's a she." I replied rudely.
" Excuse you.. Jason, I have to freshen up, this trash is taking over the hallway," She ran to the bathroom.
" Are you and Ashley like a couple?" Holly asked Jason. She's probably into him or something. Not that I care or anything.
" Oh god no." Jason replied quickly to the question.
" Okay then it's a date. Vire's movie theater at 8:00 pm. Jessica lives in the same house as always."
"No, Holly it's not." I reply. "Jason I'm sorry but I don't really think I want to go on a date with you. Not since well- you know." I say before anything's official.
"Look, Jessica. Maybe it doesn't have to be a date. My feelings haven't changed for you and i know it will take time. So maybe we can just catch up."
"Fine. My house at 8:00. Honk when your ready."

I fixed my hair in the mirror. I wanted to look nice but not too nice. I was wearing a black and white thin striped crop top that fits right under my belly button. Then I had black leather pants with black shoes and red lipstick. I had my hair down as usual.
I checked my phone 7:53. Jason should be here soon. I headed downstairs to see my mom on the sofa. She stared at me.
"What?" I asked discomforted by her staring.
"Y-you are wearing the clothes I bought you. What happened to just jeans and a t-shirt?"
"I'm going out with Jason."
"Oh, Jason. Well, um, don't get pregnant." Like on queue, a car horn honked outside. I smiled at her and tiptoe race outside.
Jason stared at me in shock. "You look um gorgeous."
"Whatever. Just drive."
-
"What movie do you want to see?" Jason asked me.
" I don't want to see one. They are all scary."
" I got you. We'll see Light's out."
" Ugh- fine. I have to use restroom. I'll be back. No moves, we are not on a date and you're not all the way forgiven." I walk down to the restroom to go think. I look at myself any try to act conceited like Ashley. No. It doesn't work on me. I should just be myself. I start primping my hair and then I frizz it up. I walk out of the bathroom just to see horror. And it's not the movie.
Ashley is flirting with Jason. And he's falling for her.
