Hello, and welcome to my new story: Dreams. I posted this before, but a huge chunk of the story didn't post for some reason. I'm warning you there is a tiny bit of fluff in the middle. But, trust me it kicks up at the end and all the fluff will make sense later in the story. (Except for maybe the mention of pancakes and ice cream) Anyway, hope you enjoy.
Fog covers my sight. I am losing consciousness. Where am I? Who am I?
My eyes flash open. Sweat pools off of my face, my shirt sticking to my back.
A dream. It was all a just a dream. But it felt so real. Vivid images flash through my mind. I had felt everything. The moistness of the fog on my pale skin, being light headed. I thrust the sheets off of me and get out of my bed. I open the curtains to my window. The window has already been opened because it's summer and I'll about sweat to death if I don't have it open all night. I close my eyes and breath in the fresh air.
I feel the coldness rush into my lungs. I wipe my long hair out of my face, and feel the cool wind fly through it. Sweat still pours down my body, so I jiggle the dirty screen out of the window frame. When I'm done, I wipe my hands on my pajama bottoms and climb out of the window. I struggle to get out of the small area, even though I have done this a million times. I quickly place one leg onto the awning next to the window. I throw the rest of my body onto the awning and sit down.
My eyes take awhile to focus, but soon the moonlight acts as a nice light so I can see my surroundings clearly. I feel relaxed enough to lay against the house and rest. Dark circles are drawn around my eyes. I haven't had a good sleep in days. Every night I wake up from a dream drenched in sweat. I have no clue why and I have only told my sister about them. Every night I come outside to cool off before I go to sleep again. I close my eyes and sit there.

"Scarlett!" a voice screamed. Where is it coming from? All around me is darkness. The small sound of a girl screaming is the only thing to own the dark room. Where am I? I don't know. But the girl's voice acted like a lullaby, and before I knew it I was sound asleep.
"Scarlett!" my eyes flew open. My vision was blurred, but I could clearly see my sister screaming in my face.
"What the heck?" I yell, groaning.
"I thought you were dead!" she screamed. But I soon realized she wasn't just screaming, she was crying.
"I'm not dead, Ella!" I said quickly grabbing her hand.
"Oh thank God!" she said wrapping her arms around me, like I needed to tell her that I wasn't dead for it to be true.
"What are you doing out here?" Ella asked, helping me up.
"I had another dream last night. And when I came out to get some fresh air, I guess I fell asleep out here or something," I explained, climbing back through my bedroom window. I carefully helped my sister through the small frame, before she said,
" I couldn't find you anywhere! I thought you were kidnapped or something," she said, trying to make herself look stronger than she was. Though we are only a year apart, our maturity levels are completely different. Ella doesn't want to admit it but, she really is the little sister in our relationship. I had almost forgotten that both of our parents had to work early this morning, so we were left alone. It was probably a good thing though, because if not I would have had to explain why I was outside. Ella would have totally freaked out and told them that she thought that I was kidnapped, or something like that, and would have had them rushing in here in an instant.
"So... Who wants pancakes?" I ask cheerily.

I groan. Today is babysitting day. Ella can hardly contain her excitement. Ella loves babies. I always have assumed that the reason for it was because she sometimes acted like one herself. We both are saving up for new bikes so we need all the money that we can get. Every day we babysit, we come home exhausted. I don't know how their parents do it. We babysit two girls named Ruby and Violet. I don't know what possessed their parents to name both of them names that are colors. And I know what you're thinking, look who's talking. Well it's not like my parents named Ella, I don't know, Amber or somthing, so we would both have names that are colors. Anyway, our friend, Reed is Ruby and Violet's brother. He was the one who got us this job. Even though Ella doesn't consider it a job.
