I was up early, but still sleepy. It was six in the morning and I'm still stuck in the hospital. At least it gave me time to think.
I took a deep breath. What am I going to do? If there was no Cathy, would Caleb give me a chance? Would he have the same feelings I had for him? I'm afraid to confront him about us, about what we are. It's pathetic. What am I going to do? My birthday is coming and I've found my mate. Will I survive without him? Can I shift without him?
Last night replayed in my head and I remembered Tyson. A smile appeared on my face. He's the only one I've really talked with.
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. Ms.Colemon and a nurse walked in.
"Clark sent me to come get you." In Ms.Colemon's hand was a black bag.
The nurse walked towards me with a clipboard in hand. She checked my heart rate and the empty bag that once had clear solution. She wrote some stuff down on the clipboard and looked at me. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine. Just a little bored here." I laughed.
The nurse stayed emotionless, she just kept looking at her clipboard and then at me. This was going to take a while.
"Do you feel dizzy or nausea?"
"Nope, I feel great and full of energy."
"Are you able to move regularly?"
"Yep."
"I'm going to have the doctor do another checkup before you get discharge. I'll just be a moment."
"So how has your morning been?" Ms.Colemon asked breaking the silence.
"It's been boring. There's not anything to do here."
"Well I'm glad you find the school hospital boring." She said sarcastically.
A tall woman with oval glasses walked in. She had a clipboard with her also. She glance at the clipboard and than walked towards me. "Hi, Violet. I'm Doctor Skylar. I'm of the few Doctors at Crescent High School." She held her hand out for me.
I gently grasp it and shook her hand. She was okay. Maybe I'm not so harmful after all. "Hi."
"First things first let's get the IV needle out of you."
Before she took the needle out, she prepared a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and a bandage. She gently pulled out the needle and applied the cotton ball to stop the blood from escaping. The bandage was use to hold the cotton ball in place. I was surprise because I thought it would hurt, but it only sting.
"Violet could you walk around and grab things for me to see," Doctor Skylar asked.
"Is that necessary, Doctor Skylar?" Ms.Colemon asked.
"Certainly it is. I ask Violet to do so because even a werewolf after being infected with a strong drug dosage of Pancuronium Bromide should be unable to move. They would still be in a coma for a couple more weeks. If it was a human, they would be dead. Even in the healthiest human a small administration of the drug takes 120 to 180 minutes to recover from the drug." Her eyes returns to look at me. " Violet are you able to move regularly?I ask her because if the drug is not fully out of her system, she may need to stay at the hospital a little longer."
"I am fine." Even though my body felt weak, I got up and walked around. I open and balled up my hand into a fist. "I feel great." I looked at Doctor Skylar as she jotted some things on her clipboard.
"Fascinating. It seems Violet is perfectly healthy. You can be discharged today, but before you leave let the ladies at the information desk know that you are leaving."
