Tori has just found out what was happening. She wasn't going to stay with her grandparents. Her parents were shipping her off to a boarding school! She should have known something wasn't right when her parents wouldn't let her call her grandma to find out what she should take with her. All they told her was to pack all of her clothes and special belongings. Now she was in the car and they were parked outside of a really expensive looking school.

"What do you mean I am staying here? You can't just place me in some school in another state without telling me!" I yelled at my parents who just sat there with blank faces.

"This school wil help you with your..Talent.." My dad said pausing when he said talent. I knew they were uncomfortable with my gift but I didn't know it was this bad.

"Please, don't make this harder then it should be dear. We love you a lot but you need help with controling this; and this school can help you with that." My mom said finally looking back at me.

There was something in her eyes that told me she wasn't sad at all about putting me in this school. That pissed me off. How could my own parents think that their only child is so much of a freak that they would ship her off to a boarding school full of freaks? I was so mad that it took me a minute to relise that the car was starting to shake, it started as a slow vibration and then started getting faster. My mom grabbed her seat trying to stay still, my father looked back at me and I coud see the fear in his eyes.

I closed my eyes and started counting back from ten. The shaking subsided then finally stopped. Without saying another word to them I unbuckled myself then got out of the car. My dad popped the trunk and I got all my suitcases and bags out of it. I barely closed the trunk before they took off at high speed back onto the road.

I was half tempted to make a tree fall on the car or at least block their path but it didn't seem quite worth it to me. I grabbed my stuff and walked up to the front gate. A speaker on the side of the gate turned on and a woman started speaking.

"Please state your full name and your buisness here." The voice on the speaker said.

"My name is Tori Lanchester. My parents just dropped me off. They said I am to start school here." I said into the speaker.

"Yes, you were expected. I shall send someone out to get you and your bags. Please wait a moment." the woman said.

I set my stuff back on the ground and sat on one of my suitcases. I rested my face in my hands. My pink hair making a covering so nobody could see my face or hands. I loved my hair, it was long and thick and I often used it to shield my face from people. I liked dying it a lot. I felt that switching up the color would keep me entertained. A lot of people who first meet me either notice my hair or eyes first. My eyes are a weird Silver color; and one eye has gold around the iris. Doctors say it happens with twins. My friend back home has a twin and they both had some gold on one of their eyes.

My mother told me my twin died when we were born, she always acted weird when we talked about it though. I looked up and seen a stone on the ground by my feet. I focused on it for a second and then it lifted from the ground. I made it spin around and flip a few times before I shot it about 100 feet away. I heard someone cough and I quickly stood up and looked back where the cough had come from.

There was a guy about a year older then me standing  few feet away. His hands were behind his back and a smile was on his face. He was so handsom my first thought was to remain calm. I smiled back at him shyly and he reached out to shake my hand. I grabbed his hand in mine, he grasped it tightly.

"Hi. My name is Johnathan, most people call me John though. I'm a senior here and I'm part of the student counsel. I also help with the new students." John said while he picked up my stuff and started walking to the gate.

I walked with him trying to stop myself from checking out his ass. "My name is Tori. I'm a senior too. So Mr. Student Counsel, what's this school all about? What is there to do here?" I said.

"Well, you can make friends, hang out around campus, do sports or extra curriculars, some times they let off campus too. I know this is kind of sudden but as you know since you were enrolled here this is a school for as the teachers say "gifted" teenagers; but what is your "gift"?" He said as we walked through the gate and towards the building on the left of the school.

"I can move things with my mind. I didn't even know about this school until twenty minutes ago when my parents pulled up here and told me this is where I am going to stay and finish off highschool and go to college, and since I told you my talent what's yours?" I said looking at him.

"That's rough, I guess some parents are like that though. I can stop things." He said, and laughed when I shot him a confused look.

"It's hard to explain. It's almost like I can stop time but I can only stop it with one person or thing at a time. Say if you were about to get hit by something. I can stop whatever it is that is about to hit you and give you enough time to get away from it before it hits you." John said.

"Oh, I get it. So what's this building?" I said as we walked into a nice looking building.

"This is the girls dorm. All girls sleep in this building and all of the guys sleep in the other building on the other side of the main school." He said.

"I see. So where is my room?" I asked looking around at all the doors.

He stopped in front of a door with the numbers 203 on it then turned the nob. I walked in before him and a pitite girl with curly brown hair was sitting on the bed in the room. She was older looking and had a smile on her face. She stood up when I walked in and came over to me.

"Tori, it's so nice to finally meet you. I'm the head mistress here at The School For Talented Teenagers." Said the head mistress.

"Hello. So from what John told me is all of the students here have a talent just like I do?" I said.

"Yes, that is correct. The talents here range from anything you could possibly think of. Some students may have your talent and others have different ones. Some students may have more then one talent. I only came to be sure you arrived, sorry I can't stay longer I am sure you have many questions but I am awfully busy right now. I will be sure to stop by later though." She said then headed out into the hall and waved before she left.

I turned to John who had put my stuff on my bed. He smiled at me and shrugged. "She is nice, but she always leaves you with more questions and confusion then before you started talking with her. I'm afraid I have to go to now, I'm not supposed to be here longer then nessicary so just unpack and I'll meet you outside."

I nodded and he left closing the door behind him. I sighed then sat on my bed and started unpacking my things and putting my clothes in the dresser next to my bed. I put my pictures and laptop at the computer desk and then pushed my suitcases under my bed.

When I fnally unpacked everything I was exausted. I sat on the bed for a few more minutes before going to my door. I looked back at my new room one more time.

"Well, time to start my new life here at The School For Freaks." I said then walked out into the hall.
