I dreamt I met an Angel from above
He told me he watched over me with lots of love
I couldnt see his face, though I knew it was there
He said he listened to my every prayer
"Your secrets are kept safe." He said with a sigh
As I looked into his eyes, I began to cry
He started drifting away, I cried one last tear
His whispered voice chanted " I will always be near."
His last words I remember were "I loved you more than you ever knew."
I called "I love you daddy, I love you too."
****** I wrote this poem in the 8th grade about my father that was passing away from cancer. I have wrote many more, but this one is still my favorite. It is dedicated to my best friend, my dad, that passed away June 9, 1999 when I was 16 years old. RIP daddy-you will always be My Angel!*******
