A New Life

First Day

It was cold and it was dark.  Not a single soul around, well except Lasmin.  She was scared and she shouted, "Hello, anyone there?"

There was a loud boom and fire started to come out of the floor.  Lasmin looked all around, and then the book that was in her car appeared.  She didn't know what this meant.  She walked to it.

Lasmin woke up in a cold sweat.  It was all just a dream. 

She woke up to get ready for school, her first day of school.  She had about two hours.  Her closet didn't have in all her clothes yet.  There was a bright pink shirt with some jeans.  There was also a brown sweatshirt.  She decided that she will go with the brown sweatshirt.  When she picked it up she found a green scarf in the back.  She had never own that scarf before.  It was probably her mom's and it got misplaced.  She tried on the scarf and it looked good with her outfit so she decided to wear it.

She went downstairs to get breakfast.  The food closet only had her mom's cereal.  She went to the fridge to see if there were any fruits she could eat since her cereal wasn't there.  There was only an apple and a pear.  She really wished she had some Cheerios.  Maybe her mom's cereal wasn't bad.  She decided she would try some.  When she went back to the food closet she found the Cheerios, they weren't there before.  She knew for sure.  There was explanation, maybe she just didn't see them.

Lasmin went to her mom's desk to tell her bye before going off to school.

"Mom, I'm leaving, and is this your scarf?"

"Ok have a good day and that is not my scarf. Where did you get it?'

"It was in my closet."

"Maybe it was left behind.  Take it off"

Lasmin took It off, but when she did, she got a strange vibe.  She just ignored it and went put the door so she wouldn't miss the bus.

The first thing Lasmin did when she got to school was go to her locker.  She was putting in her school supplies and locker decorations.  When she shut her locker there was girl next to her,

"Hello! I'm Becca. You're the new girl, right?"

"Hi, and yeah I'm new. My name is Lasmin.  Nice to meet you."

"Well Lasmin nice to meet you too. If you need anything I'm just two lockers away from you. Also if you want you can sit with me and my friends at lunch. Have a great first day"

"Thanks"

Lasmin could see that Becca was obviously full of energy.  She was very joyful.  Which was the opposite of Lasmin right now because of the move, school, and book.

Later that day she went to all her classes learning where they were.  She was walking to Chemistry when she found Becca

"Oh my gosh! We have Chemistry together!", said Becca with joy.

"Yes I guess we do"

Becca and Lasmin walked in the class as soon as the bell ringed. 

"Students take out your books and open to chapter 15.  Also this is our new student, Lasmin.  Lasmin can you take a seat next to Erik."

Erik raised his hand.  Lasmin looked at him and he was her neighbor.  The one that closed his garage as soon as she spoke to him. 

"Read the chapter with you partner and answer the questions on the board.  You have till the end of class.", said the teacher.

Lasmin didn't know what to say to Erik.  She had very confused feeling right now.  She thought he was a jerk, but she kind of thought he was cute.
