Pikachu yawned as he stretched across the bed and looked over at Chikorita. She had come to live with them back at their home after their adventure at Team Rocket HQ. They had called the fire department and red trucks promptly arrived after the call. The building was very damaged, and you could see the burnt wallpaper inside the charred window frames.
Pikachu was so glad to be back home at last. Every night since he was separated from Ash, he layed awake thinking about Ash. Now he wouldn't have to worry about finding Ash; he would be right beside him.
Ash woke and stretched, squinting at the pale sunlight shining through the window. He yawned and noticed that Pikachu was awake.
He smiled as he remembered what had happened. He was now safe and sound with Pikachu and their new friend, Chikorita.
Today was the day that the three would go back to Ash's home and finally rest for a while.
Then they would begin their next adventure.
