Chapter 4
"Allie get up." Simon told me. I groaned "But why..?" I asked, wondering why he was waking me up so early.
"You've been in bed for the last two days, and plus you have school in two days so you'll have to get used to waking up early." I groaned at the thought of school.
"Do I really have to go to school, Simon. Can't I just be home schooled or not go to school at all.." He sighed.
"No you have to go to school and I want you to get out and make some friends your age, and be educated." He glanced at his watch. "Sorry, but I have to go to work, but I should be home tonight unless something else comes up."
----
"Allie wake up you have your first day of school today." He said cheerfully. "What's with all the happiness it's school we're talking about, one of most dreaded places on earth." I told him grumpily. "Just get up and come downstairs when you're done."
I slowly made my way out of bed and got dressed. I walked down the stairs and saw Simon Sitting in the kitchen which was weird because he always leaves early.
"Hey... what are you doing here?" I asked him. "Just wanted to drop you off for your first day of school, something wrong with that?" "No just you usually leave really early."
I ate breakfast with Simon and then he drove to to school. "Bye have a good day," He told me. "and I'll be here to pick you up after school."
I walked up to the school, through the doors and walked into the front office. "Um.. Hi,I'm Allie Parker, the new student." I told her.
"Ohh yes" she said looking up. "Here's you're schedule, map, and textbooks." she said handing me a big pile of books, "Thanks" I said walking out the office.
The first class on my schedule was Science in room 212. I looked at the map and walked to the class room. I got to class just before the bell rang. "Hello you must be the new student." He said looking up at me.
"Class this is the new student Allie Parker I hope you all make her feel very welcome." he said. "You can sit in the open seat." He told me.
I walked to my seat and sat down. "He I'm Jess." The girl beside me said to me. "Hi" I told her, barley glancing at her. "So where are you from?" "America, doesn't my accent give it away?" I said "Well duh, I was just trying to make conversation."
Me and Jess talked all through first period and soon it was over. "look the slut actually made a friend." Some random boys said to Jess right after we got out of class, thn walked away.
"Who was that?" I asked. "My Ex." "Bad breakup?" "Yes, and then he decided to spread rumors about me after it." She said. "Well that sucks." "Yeah and thats kind of why I don't have any other friends." She admitted. "It's okay I only need one." I told her.
The rest of the day went by fast and soon the day was over. Me and Jess walked outside to look for our parents. Simon was nowhere to be found. "Bye, my mom is here" she said walking toward her car." "Bye." I told her.
It was thirty minuets after school ended and Simon was still not here. I decided to to go to the office to see if they had a phone I could use to call him with.
"Do you have a phone I could use?" I asked the lady at the front desk. "Yes," she said pointing to the phone on the desk. I picked up the phone and called Simon.
"Hey Simon, are you coming to pick me up?" I asked him "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I forgot , I'm coming to pick you up." He said. "No, It's fine I can just walk home. Your house is only like a mile from here." "No, I promised I would pick you up so I will." He said hanging up.
