Ritsuka ran down the hallway towards the third library as sheer nervousness began to break out within her. She had been called down there by the student council for a reason unknown to her, and it was fair enough to say that she was frightened by the possibility of trouble she might be getting into. She couldn't remember one thing that she did wrong, so the reason for the student council to summon her made no sense at all. But it wasn't like she could ignore their call--that might even lead to a more severe weight against her. All she could do was try her hardest to argue and defend herself as soon as she got there.

She slowed down as soon as she came closer to the door that would lead her into the large library where she hoped she wouldn't have to stay too long. Stopping in front of it, she hesitated before the door as she stared down at the handle. What was going to happen to her, she wondered. Did she even do anything wrong? What would be her determined punishment for something she may or may not be suspect to?

No, no, no! She shouldn't be worrying herself so much directly before she even entered the place. Ritsuka took a deep breath and calmed herself down, reminding herself that she could get out of this misunderstood situation, before clutching her thin fingers together in a fist and softly knocking twice on the wooden door.

The door opened away from her on its own, providing Ritsuka with a pathway to enter. She was met with four handsome faces staring at her as she approached them slowly--three from the large square table in which they sat at, and one from the desk that dominated the table. She immediately met eyes with the one sitting at the desk who wore a formal blue uniform, to which she assumed was the president from the way he overlooked the rest of the members.

A shiver went down her spine as they all kept staring at her with an unbreakable gaze, and she soon broke away eye contact from the president. Her vision trailed down towards the three at the table, and the first one she locked eyes with was the one sitting at her right. He was casually leaning onto the table with his hands propping his head, unlike the rest of them who sat up straight with there backs against their chair, and his hair was of a light shade of blonde that contrasted rather beautifully against his slightly tan complexion.

She moved her eyes left to a smiling face sitting directly across the table from the council member she had just gazed at. His uniform was much different from the others, as it was all a shade of white and containing little blue. He was twiddling with a bright red rose in his right hand, and he was the only one smiling at her.

Ritsuka pushed her gaze forward to the one that was sitting two seats away from the other. He was the closest one seated to her, she noticed, and he seemed to be purposely distancing himself from the rest of the members... He had his hands folded in his lap, and he gazed at her with a slight frown from his flaring red eyes. His hair was the darkest compared to the rest of the members while he was also the palest, and he--

"Ritsuka Tachibana."

Ritsuka was startled slightly form hearing her full name called out, but she quickly turned her head back in the direction of the president to notice that he was now standing at the side of his seat, and was the one to call out to her.

After she responded to him and gave him her attention, he introduced himself as Rem and as the president of the student council. He then proceeded by walking swiftly towards her with his eyes still staring into hers, telling her that they had received a note stating that she had been violating the school's rules.

Ritsuka was, of course, surprised to hear this as she had no recollection of doing such a thing, and she was quick to defend herself by saying exactly that. Rem, however, made it obvious that he wouldn't accept her protest, saying that he only believed what the letter said, and she was quick to argue once more.

"I haven't gone against school rules! Who wrote the note? What does it say?!'

The three other council members sat quietly as they watched their argument, though it somehow aroused an excitement in Shiki the most. He listened intently at Ritsuka's defensive tone, even leaning forward in his chair and widening his eyes as he grew excited by the way she talked back in such a demanding way. It was an interesting way for a young lady to behave, least to say, and even Urie and Mage were amused by her protests towards Rem.

Urie was the first to comment about it, saying that it was even good for a butterfly to be talking back; followed by Mage who sat up in his seat and exclaimed that it was interesting.

Shiki hesitated a moment before he added his comment, as he had barely even heard what the other two members behind him had said since he was so attentive to his own thoughts about Ritsuka's behavior. As his eyes grew even wider than before in pure arousal, he stated simply what he was truly thinking inside, "How exciting."

Rem was next to mention just how intriguing she was as he continued piercing his gaze through Ritsuka's eyes. She backed a step away upon hearing his words as his eyes became like daggers stabbing through her small body.

Shiki watched as her body froze and relaxed limply from the way Rem was now manipulating her. It was a sick enjoyment for him to love seeing other people become so helpless towards one of the devils, but he still took pleasure in watching Ritsuka fall victim to Rem. After all, they were in search of one thing and one thing only: the grimoire. And that's exactly what they were going to do; they were going to real her into their trap, just like they do so many other people, and find the whereabouts of the forbidden "book" through her.

Rem cupped her chin gently and lifted her head up for her to look him in the eye. Leaning down, he whispered in her ear that he needed to ask her something, but as soon as his malicious form became clear through her light brown orbs, the pendant from around her neck streamed out shades of florescent light that fended off the devil in front of her.

Shiki immediately pushed back in his chair in complete awe as Urie and Mage stood up from where they were sitting. They were all astonished by what the peculiar pendant was doing, but it had all happened so quickly... In only a matter of seconds, the pendant rested back on her chest, and she blinked out of the trance that Rem had put her in.

Ritsuka glanced behind Rem to look over at Urie and Mage, and she gasped quietly in question as soon as she noticed how they were suddenly standing up.

Her eyes quickly met with Shiki's for a moment to see if he had moved at all, but his chair was only scooted back slightly, so she didn't give much attention to him.

"Anyway, I haven't broken any school rules," Ritsuka stated her defense one last time before fleeing from the library.

Shiki stared at her as she ran out the door, some of his previous astonishment still shown on his face, with the same thoughts running through his mind: Poor, pitiful thing... She knows nothing of what's to come her way... Though the disturbing thrill he had felt when watching her never left his body.
