* (l/n) = last name

It was Christmas day and the Barton's were all home for the holidays. Well, all except one. (y/n) (l/n)-Barton was running late, knowing full well mom and dad were not going to be happy. But hey, she had a mission to finish.

(y/n) was adopted by the Barton's before they had their first son, Cooper. They still thought of each other as family, it was cool having two little brothers and a sister, just hard to see them as a true family. What made it difficult was the fact (y/n) had huge, fluffy wings.

She used them to go everywhere, even took the younger kids flying. All that was made possible with the freaky mutation that happened when she was just a baby and (y/n)'s vest- bulletproof cloaker. It's basically the tech SHIELD uses when they want to make their ships "disappear," just better and light-weight. Now, it was helping (y/n) get to the Barton House as quickly as possible.

"(y/n)'s home!" The two oldest ones shouted as they stared out the window. Now running outside to greet their big sister.

(y/n) landed with a thump, taking off their helmet (at mom's request to always wear one) before enveloping their siblings in a big hug. Their wings fluffed out in joy at seeing their family; it's been a while.

"You guys are so big!" (y/n) exclaimed. "Lila! You're a young woman now. And Cooper... good thing you got mom's genes."

"Hey, I heard that." Clint Barton, AKA dad, said stepping out of the house with baby Nathan. "Hi, kiddo. You're late."

"Hi, dad." (y/n) kissed his cheek and said hello to Nathan. "I hope you're not going to be as much trouble as the other two."

"We're not trouble!" Cooper and Lila shouted, then they began to bicker about who was more irritating. You'd think they were past this stage...

"(y/n)!" Laura Barton, AKA mom, shouted as she wrapped her daughter in a hug. "It's good to have you back, but you're late."

"Yes, I know, mom." She said into her shoulder, hugging her mother tightly.

"Come on, guys, dinner's ready."

"Then, we can open late presents." (y/n) said hanging her arm around her mom's shoulders. Cooper and Lila cheered as they rushed into the house to wash up with the adults following close behind.

(y/n) set her helmet down by the door and took off her vest and jacket, breathing in the lovely country air she grew up with. The word echoing in her mind,

'Home...'
