A Game of Chess

It was recess and I looked for my four friends. Irene, Wendy, Yeri and Joy.

I saw Irene and sat beside her. "Seulgi! Have you heard?" Really? I just sat down and I hear gossip. Nice life Seulgi, but I'll just let it be, Irene's my best friend anyway.

"What?"

"People are trying to defeat the unbeatable Min Yoongi. They all lost to him and I want you to fight him." She says with a squeal. Hesitating, I sighed. I agreed and asked him where the "King of the Board" may be.

Wendy pointed at the endless line of people who is determined to win over Yoongi, aka my fellow nerds. "We'll come with you." Said Yeri. They all stood up and we walked to the table. I stayed in the middle while Irene and Wendy pushed the people lining up.

I looked at the current game that was happening. That kid is about to get checked- and he lost. Welp, Yoongi is good.

The boy stood up with his head low. I quickly sat down in front of Yoongi, smiling. "Uh sweetheart, I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings but, I'm not in the mood to flir-"

"Who says I wanna flirt? Let's play." I said taking off my jacket and folding my inner shirt's sleeves. The girls stood behind me.

For the first two minutes I actually ate most of his pawns.

It's been three minutes and finally I moved my horse. "Checkmate." I say with a smile. He moved his bishop, probably has no more ideas, he ate my pawn but..

"Whoops." I say and ate his king.

Yoongi

Did she just? Did she just? Did she fucking eat my king?! Namjoon smiled at her and held out his hand. "You're Seulgi right?" I looked at him and she nodded. They shook hands. "I'm Namjoon, and I must say." Oh no don't tell me.

"You've got jams girl."

"Thanks.. uhh Namjoon."
