The 7th chapter is out and I hope you like it :) I'm trying to learn Sungha Jung's arrangement of Payphone by Maroon 5 on guitar, but it's so hard! If I just had longer fingers, not to say a better guitar -_- But it's better than no guitar at all, right? :) I hope you enjoy this chapter :)

Riko lied on top of the couch, while having a pencil in her mouth and a piece of paper with a new strategy for the basketball matches. Her father sat just beside her with the remote control, zapping from channel to channel.

"It's all the same, they're showing..." her father moaned.

He continued zapping, but he stopped for a moment at the news channel.

"I didn't know he was back in town" Riko's dad said.

"Who?" she asked still looking at the paper.

"Hayate Daisuke."

"Wait, Daisuke?"

She looked up at the tv for a moment an saw a reporter interviewing a man with a quite different look than normal people. His clothes looked like any high class person, but it was more his natural look. Short white hair pulled neatly back, and his eyes were light blue. Just like Kazumi.

"That's it!!!!"

She jumped up, and slammed her hands on the little coffee table.

"What is it?" her father asked with a straight stare. "You look like you just have seen a ghost."

She didn't answer, but kept staring at the screen with open mouth.

"I knew I had seen that white hair and those blue eyes before... But I never imagined that it would be the famous surgeon, I remembered it from."

"What are you talking about?"

"Oh, sorry" she apologized. "Hey dad, what do you know about Hayate Daisuke?"

"Daisuke? Not much... I've heard he's a nice guy, but he tries to keep his personal life away from the public, though; there have been some stories about him."

"Stories? Like what?"

Her father scratched his cheek lightly.

"Many of them were just gossip, but one of them is true..."

"Which one is true?" she asked fast.

He looked away and rested his head on his hand.

"His wife died."

Her eyes widened to double size, looking at him in misbelieve. If Hayate's wife was dead, didn't that mean Kazumi's mom was dead too?

"What happened?"

"Something about her getting their kid from kindergarten and ended up in a car accident on the way back or something like that. But it happened about 10 years ago, so I'm not quite sure. But I know he moved away from town after that, and left his kid back here with some staff that worked for them."

"But why? Why did he leave his own daughter?"

"Gee, who knows? Maybe he just needed some time alone. At least we know he's back, so maybe he decided to reunite with her."

Riko calmed down and looked at the TV again.

"Poor Kazumi..."

The sky was darker than usual. Like everything was bad, and everything was lost. Kazumi sighed as she continued to walk. She gave the sky a look again.
