"Damn girl you look good" Kion said as stood up and walked towards me I had put on a black Donna Karen dress with quarter length sleeves and a deep v in the front the dress stopped just at my knees. Thanks to Cris she had my hair bone straight with a middle part and my make up was very natural with just a red lip and the red stilettos did just enough for my dress.

He was already dressed we had drove into New York the night before we had an 830 reservations at Mr.Chow and it was about twenty five minutes til and traffic here was crazy. "Thank you, you clean up pretty good yourself" "ok now remember just be cool at about nine o'clock your going to excuse yourself to the restroom its going to be another girl in the bathroom when you get in there she's going to be in the middle stall on the left hand side you are to go to the stall on the far right and when you go into the stall like your using it your going to grab the the black MCM purse that she has sitting on the floor wash your hands and walk out come back to the table and eat" he grabbed the room key and we made our way out the door.
It didn't take us long to get to the restaurant and when we got to where the host was greeting people as they came in. It was like they already knew who we were as soon as we walked up the young host took us to our table. It was a nice restaurant I had never been anywhere like it and when I looked at the menu I knew you had to be working with some money in order to even get in here.
Me and Kion sat there and engaged in small talk he reached for my hand a couple times I think it was his way of keeping me calm. Kion looked down at his watch which told me it was about that time to go to the restroom. I got up from the table excused myself and made my way to the restroom and just like he had said it was someone in the middle stall and there was a black purse on the floor, my body grew heavier and heavier as if something was weighting me down. I went into the bathroom used it and picked up the bag as I was washing my hands I tried to take my time to see if I could catch a glimpse of the mystery women but she never came out. Once I got back to the table Kion was paying for the meal and was ready to go.
I felt myself about to start sweating I opened my mouth to say something but he squeezed my hand as in to silence me.

We was only about ten minutes from the room but it seemed like it was taking us forever to get there. As soon as we walked threw the door I sat the purse on the bed and went into the bathroom the contents of the purse was killing me I had to know what it was. I was so busy caught up in my thoughts that when I walked out the bathroom that we were in a totally different room than before the room was the same it was just that the things were on the opposite side.
"Let me call you back" Kion said to whoever he was on the phone with as soon I walked out. "Come here Kat" he grabbed my hand and pulled me down on his lap. " you straight you did good...but I can see that its bothering you to know what's in the bag" he reached over to the bag and opened it. When he opened the bag I had to keep my composure I didn't want him to think I wasn't use to money. I went in bathroom and pulled the dress drown as soon as the dress came off Kion came thru door. "I gotta make a stop to see Cris imma take you with me cause she stay out Waldorf and it make no since to go to Forestville first." Cris house was stunning it was a break house that sat in the middle of the cul-de-sac it was bigger than all the other houses it had a three car garage with 4 cars parked outside one on the curb I recognized it from the shop. All the cars were white they had this bad ass jaguar with pretty chrome wheels a Benz and a Camaro , they were defiantly getting money.

We got out the car and Kion put his key in a walked straight in, they must be really close because even my mother don't have a key to my place. "YOOOO" he yelled out as we walked through the house. Yonni came walking out of kitchen eating something out of a bowl. "Hey y'all how did it go" she was so pretty but the more I stared at her the more I looked at her the more familiar she began to look I couldn't figure out from where but I knew this girl. "It went good she did great I think she'll be ready next week" kion looked over at me and smiled. A tall brown skin with jet black curly hair and a smile just like Yonni he looked to be in early thirties but his matureness and presence told me he was deep in his forties he sported a plan white hugo boss tee some jeans and a pain of fresh out of the box new balance he was old school but so well put together the resemblance him and Yonni shared was crazy. ''Sup baby boy?" he said giving Kion a hug. "Hey gorgeous Im Cortez" "Hi my name is Kat" I was lost in his eyes something about him the same thing I seen in Yonni I seen in him some type of familiarity.
"I know who you are I was told you handled yourself quit well today that's good we have no room for error". Cris walked in the kitchen "why are yall just standing in the kitchen lets go in the family room and sit down" "Let me holla at Tez yall ladies go ahead we will catch up" Just like that they disappeared upstairs.
I followed behind them and went into the family room it was everything the couch was red with different color earth tone pillows and a massive tv mounted on the wall. I looked at a couple of the pictures and got to one picture of a man he was nice looking looked a lot like Cortez "that's my son Cj the one Kion was talking about he got killed a little time back" Cris said I heard the pain in her voice it still bothered her. "So Kat how you like working at the club?" Yonni asked Cris looked at her and rolled her eyes. "anyway I really want to go check it a couple girls that get there hair done at the shop work there say its popping.. imma come out there next month when im eight-teen they aint gonna be able to tell me nothing" we started laughing Cris didn't find it to funny. " I don't know why the ones born with a silver spoon are so determined to eat with a wooden one" she said and got up and walked towards the kitchen. We sat in the living and talked for what seem like hours we actually had a lot in common.
Kion came downstairs and said that Tez and Cris had gon to bed for tonight. "why cant yall stay here tonight kion you usually sleep in your old room when you get back from outta town" Yonni whined "because I got a couple of errands to run on Kat side so imma stay at her spot tonight...we gon all get together and do something I promise" he leaned in and kissed her on her cheek. "ok well lock up im going to my room love yall see you later" and disappeared upstairs.
"Kion I need you to be real honest with me cause right now Im starting to feel like im moving really fast like what is it exactly that were doing and don't bullshit me cause im willing to ride but only if I know all of the facts I need to know im getting into..." come on lets go to my room we walked upstairs and went to the room furthest to the left he shut and locked the door behind us. I took my shoes off and climbed in the bed he kicked of his shoes and got beside me. "Im going to be real with you and if you decide not to rock with us then cool me and Tez just expanded into New York but we aint trynna step on nobodies toes we want everybody to eat...so we taking right now we dealing with the higher class folks them white collar drug addicts them the ones with the money cause they buy the shit in bulk and they move quietly they don't want anybody to know what there up to. So what we did today was collect our profit from the last drop the last drop was done by the girls but now since there about to go down the A we need you to do the swap right now its only every three weeks but if we expand into New York like we are planning things will start to make a lot more since" "this seems more like a family business why did yall trust me enough to bring me in on it" something wasn't adding up he was hiding something I couldn't figure out what though. "all imma say is in due time...you just gotta trust me" he looked at me and he was just so sincere something in his eyes told me I could trust him. "ok" he wrapped his arms around me and we laid there in silence until we both dozed off.
It was about seven thirty when I realized I was alone I got up I had to pee and I was curious as to where Kion was. I walked out the room the house seemed silent a little to silent when I walked further down the hall I notice a door with a little crack in it there was voice coming out of the room I couldn't make what they were saying but I knew it was Kion and Tez I couldn't place the other male voice. "You have to tell her cause if she find out it might not go well she gotta little temper on her" Kion said " just like her mother Lisa is the same way" Tez said what the fuck are they talking about and how do they know my mother this shit was getting weirder by the minute I went to the bathroom closes to the office and made a lot of noise I wanted my presence to be known. When I walked out the bathroom Kion was waiting for me.
"Come in here I need to talk to you for a minute" he led me into the office the other voice I had heard I had to have been the big black nigga sitting in the corner and Nico was also there he didn't look right her had beads of sweat on his nose and he seemed a little uneasy. "whats up" I said looking around the shit was quiet too quit something was up. "Um y'all excuse me I need a minute with Kat" Tez said everybody got up to leave out the room. "wait Kion you stay she prolly want you here" "look Tez imma holla at you in a few im boutta bounce" the big dude said.
Everyone left it was just me Tez and Kion I was so confused what was they boutta ask me tell me or what but I was lost and starting to feel real uneasy. "Kat have a seat please.." Tez said pointing to the seat in front of his desk. "No im fine I just need to know what the fuck is going on here cause all this sneaky side conversations and shit im not with it" Kion sat down on the love seat "Kat what I tell you just relax sometimes everybody not always out to get you" Kion said . "Its okay Kion I understand why she feels that way we did kinda just throw all this on her at one time but I know she will be straight to much like her momma use to be" Tez was smiling " I don't find any of this shit funny matter of fact Kion take me home now!" I stormed out of the room and went to put my shoes and jacket on Kion was right behind me. "You real fucking childish you know that?" he shook his head and put his stuff on I aint say shit fuck that I don't know what type of shit they got going on around here nobodies telling me nothing, they basically just threw me into this shit and keep making comments about my mova naw I aint feeling that shit.
Chapter 6
Jewlz hadn't been staying at home much lately that's why tonight it was kinda weird for me to be going to work by myself, it had been a week since I last talked to Kion and at this point I had no interest in talking to his ass no matter how many times he called.
I walked into the club it was crowded as hell as usual I went to the dj to let him know that I would be hitting the stage and what song I wanted. I was really looking for jewlz to see if she wanted to pull a move tonight. When I walked to the back to change and find my girl she was talking and hitting a blunt with Nina. " when the fuck did they get buddy buddy...whats up yall Jewlz let me holla at you real quick" I said while walking towards my locker. I noticed a little hesitation when she made her way over to me but I quickly just dismissed this was my girl. "I see you finally back on your shit coming to work and what not" she said taken a sip from her cup "is that alcohol since when did you start drinking?" "girl it aint that serious just a lil shot of patron" jewlz was avoiding eye contact with me. "um hm well are we hitting a lick tonight? I could use the extra cash" I said to jewlz "damn bitch I already told Nina we could run tonight I aint no you was coming you know your ass been mia the last couple weeks you aint been home" jewlz said dancing and sipping her drink "no you been mia and you aint been answering the phone I been home the last two weeks and your ass aint even been there" I started getting dressed to go on stage I usually went after coco and she had just started her set. "and what you mean with Nina when did yall become so close especially to be hitting licks together and shit...I don't trust that shit you just whipped her ass now she wonna be your bestfriend" jewlz wasn't thinking logically I didn't trust that shit not one bit.
"See that's your problem Kat you worried about the wrong things...im grown I got me" and with that she walked away and went back to her conversation with Nina. I didn't even have time to respond cause I was being called on stage.
The whole way home I couldn't put my finger on it but something about Jewlz was changing and I didn't like it.
"Here he go I aint got time for this shit" kion was sitting in his truck parked in front of my apartment. I got my bag and got out the car. He followed behind me until I got to my door he didn't say anything which was unusual cause I just knew he would have something to say hell an apology at least. I walked threw the door with him on my heels and I aint say shit.
"So you aint got nothing to say you just gon act like I aint even here" he actually looked offended...good cause I been offended. I looked at him rolled my eyes and pulled my t-shirt over my head and pulled my hair in a bun and walked to the bathroom and I started the water for my bath it had been awhile since I worked at the club I felt really sore.
"Damn Kat why you gotta be so damn difficult...im trying to apologize but it's a lot more to this shit than you realize" he sat down on toilet. I pulled my whole body under the water I want to be so mad at this man but I cant. "Kion all I want is you to be real with me...this whole thing is a lie its been a lie from the beginning I thought you liked me and we met by chance but whole time you been plotting on me." I just shook my head a began to wash up he started to get undress. I didn't say anything I wanted him hell I needed him he got completely undress and slide in the tub behind me. I shivered at his touch I wanted to be mad at him for holding so many secrets but I couldn't that's why I been avoiding him.
He started rubbing my shoulders and kissing my cheek. "Kat there is a lot you don't know and I don't want to put to much on you at one time" he said flicking his tongue in traces of an o around my ear and kneck "Kion I keep telling you imma big girl I can handle anything you throw at me stop treating my like a child" I said "Kat this thing is beyond me its beyond you im telling you when the time is right you'll know everything...when was the last time you spoke to your mova" kion asked "that's another thing that's pissing me off whats all this talk about her me and her don't fuck around like that and if y'all did so much research on me you would know that" I was getting frustrated "come on slim lets get out this water getting cold" he got out and helped me out I ran in the room and jumped under the blanket for some reason it was extra cold in here. He walked in with a towel around his waist and slid in the bed next to me I laid my head on his chest. He just rubbed my back and I fell asleep on his chest.
" Ring Ring Ring!!" "who tf is this calling me at six in the damn morning" I put my hand on the dresser fumbling with everything trying to find my phone
"Hello" "Kat..Kat" the whimpering voice on the other end of the phone said "Hello...Hello jewlz is that you?" "Kat im sorry im sorry being a bitch to you I shoulda listened to you please Kat come and get me" jewlz souned like a child "Jewlz im coming where are you?" I asked jumping up . "Im at the Marriot on route one please Kat come on im scared" the phone hung up I jumped up out the bed and started throwing up clothes Kion sat up "Whats wrong Kat where you going?" he asked rubbing his sleepy eyes "I gotta go get jewlz she called here and it sounded like she was crying" I said never stopping what I was doing "Where she at im coming with you?" kion said "The Marriot on route one" I grabbed my purse and headed for the door
We jumped in his truck and made our way to her Kion stopped at no lights thank god it was no cops out cause we made a 45min trip a 20min one at most. "What room is she in?" he said jumping out the truck after he grabbed another gun to put in his waiste "I don't know but im going to knock on all them until I find her" I walked to where the first set of doors was "How about we go to the front desk and ask them" kion said
Kion walked up to the desk and slid the young clerk some money and walked back to me. "Come on I got the key he said she in room 212 around back" We got around to the back of the hotel and the door to the room was already slightly opened. "Step back" Kion removed his 9mm from his waist I did the same.
"JEWlZ!" was all I could say as I ran to my bestfriend side she was laying in puddle of her own
"call 911 she's barely breathing" I screamed at Kion with tears streaming down my face he ran over to her and picked her up "Come on no telling how long she been like this we do better taking her our self" Kion ran out the room with jewlz cradled in his arms like a baby I was right behind him I climbed In the back seat and rubbed her bruised face as her head laid on my lap. "Jewlz hold on baby we almost there" I whispered in her ear. Kion drove like a bat outta hell we pulled in front of emergency room entrance he jumped out a carried jewlz in the doctors ran to us immediately. And took her away me and Kion sat in the waiting as I cried on his shoulder I couldn't lose jewlz she all I had.
"Ms.Carter" I stood up walked towards the doctor "Yes" "Hi I am Dr.Ean I worked on your sister she had massive trauma to her head and one of her lungs had collapsed from what looked like she had been chocked with some type of strap, she is a tough one though the fetus was kind of touch and go by her being so early its still a chance the fetus will not make it full term so she's going to be bed ridden for awhile..but I suggest you guys go home and come back in a couple hours she is heavily sedated for the pain but she is expected to make full recovery." The dr said
"Wait did you say fetus? Are you sure you have the right the patient?" I asked still in shock some what "yes ma'am Aminah Hawkins? She is roughly about fifteen weeks pregnant..did she know she was pregnant if not we need to start giving her more fluids and vitamins asap" the dr asked with a concerned look on his face "No she didn't know" I said with a puzzled look and walked out towards the truck Kion followed right behind me.
The whole ride back home was silent. When we walked threw the door of the house I felt numb it was just to much going on jewlz was pregnant...and she didn't even tell me what the hell was she doing at that hotel and who is her child father I had so many questions one thing I did know was that whoever was responsible for this would feel my wrath I never had to kill but there was a first time for everything. Kion must've have felt that I was getting over whelmed I couldn't believe that all this was happening I walked in the bathroom I looked a mess my eyes were almost swollen shut from all the crying I had did. Kion walked in behind and just held me I felt his heart threw his clothes and his cool breath on my neck.
"Come on Kat lets go lay down for a couple hours I will have you up in a few and take you to go see jew" he led me to my bed as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out. When I woke up it was almost one and Kion was knocked out I got up and left him there I needed to go see my girl alone we had gotten to far gone if she felt the need to be hiding all this from me.
I jumped in my car and headed downtown. When I walked in the room and she laid in her bed she looked so peaceful I went to touch her hand then her stomach. I couldn't believe she was carrying a child her stomach was still it seemed very flat like it had always been, but then again she wasn't taken care of herself. I sat down in the chair and scooted it next to her bed and laid my head on her leg and fell asleep it was like I had the weight of the world on me.I dont really know how long I was sleep but I woke up to a soft chuckle and a hand on my head rubbing my hair down I looked up and sat up jewlz was laying there watching tv even beaten and bruised she was still glowing and you could tell how beautiful she is. "jew.." before I could finish she stopped me "Kat let me speak first I am so sorry for scaring you like this and I love you so much I knew that you would come I've never been at a place where I felt like I couldn't come to you it was just that I felt like you had replace me with Kion and I was hurt so I was running around playing fast and loose and that's how this happen I knew I shouldn't have trusted that bitch Nina no way but thank you I appreciate you" she said with tears in her eyes all the anger I had and everything I had to say didn't matter I just laid my head on her lap and cried. "Jew im sorry I would never put nobody before you your my sister...why didn't you tell me about the baby" I asked as I looked up at her she had tears streaming down her face "because I didn't want you to tell Kion" she said "why would I tell Kion jew that's not his business" I was confused jew wasn't making any sense "because its Niko baby I kept saying I was gonna have an abortion but I just couldn't bring myself to do it" jewlz started crying even more with tears in her eyes"its Niko baby! Did you tell him how did this happen jew" I asked I was now pacing back and forth this shit was getting crazy "first Katrina you know how and no I didn't tell him and neither are you! I don't even know what im going to do yet!" she said "what do you mean what you gonna do?.. your having that baby anything after four weeks is murder hell your ass almost four months which mean you got pregnant around the night we all went to the hotel I cant believe you aint use protection even I used protection the first time" I looked at jewlz and we both burst out laughing. "Kat you are something else you know that?" jewlz said "Yea I know but that's why you love me though" I smiled and kissed her on the cheek "im boutta go home and take shower I be back to stay the night oh and bitch next time you scare me like that you gon wish your ass was dead" I said walking out the room she started laughing and I walked out the room I know I said I would let it go but that bitch Nina gon die and that's on life!
