Now, I have to take precaution and keep this person's identity a secret. But even so, we should still give her a name; let's call her Lily. So, Lily was a young and a very bright girl. She was everything a parent could ask for a perfect daughter. Lily was a brilliant student, she'd always got top 3 in her class, and she simply adored Chemistry and Classical Arts.

As she was brilliant she was also athletic. She was the District's Champ on the 200m women's track event. And she even got awarded as one of the best player in her basketball team. She was simply just perfect to everyone.

What was abnormal about Lily was that she couldn't have any friends. Her parents too found this quite strange, because according to them, she was a perfectly normal child. But Lily was far from being normal.

Though as good as she was on her grades and sports achievement, one would strive to give her the name 'wallflower'. If you're wondering what a wallflower is; it is quite simply defined as a person who never gets asked to the dance, or by another manner, a person who stands by the outskirt and observes the world with understanding. Lily couldn't have any friends because she harbored secrets; a lot of secrets.

Her parents did admit that Lily did change as she grew older. But they simply dismissed it as a side effect of puberty. Lily, for one, didn't want her parents to take unnecessary anxiety towards her. And yet she faced 8 years of solitude with no one to talk to about what was going on with her; no one to understand her. Eventually she gave in to the only way she knew that would set her free and off this heavy burden, a burden that she wasn't meant to carry in the first place.

When she came home from school; as any other ordinary day, she felt light and slightly nervous. She went to her room, sat down at her table; took out her pencil and paper and began to write. Just like always, as soon as she was done with it, she stashed it inside her secret place.

She went to the bathroom and stared at her reflection. She had no reason to be happy, yet a mischievous smile made its way across her lips.
