A/N: I changed the cast of Arabella from Nina Dobrev to Katelyn Tarver. I think it fits her more. :)
'Sweetheart'
I got upstairs to my room then get myself ready. I put on makeup but not too much, just concealer, face powder and lipgloss. Bless my long lashes. I change into flower print tank that I tucked into black shorts with an ivory color braided belt and maroon vans. I just keep my previous bangles and pendant on. I tie my hair into a sided fishtail braid and went down with my phone and mini-long purse.
I lock the back doors before heading out. Once I reach my car, I saw Liam sitting inside behind the wheel looking at me as I walk. Stop staring, my mind shouted. I don't like it when people stare at me, I bet most girls do too. I mean when guys stare at girls, they got insecure and act weird. And that's what I'm doing and feeling right now.
If you don't think almost tripping onto dirt out of nowhere is weird then you're weird.
I try to avoid his stare as I get the in the car. He genuinely smiles at me, "what?" I ask in pure confusion "you almost fell back there" he stated in obvious. "Yeah, so?" I ask "are you nervous when I look at you?" he smirked. "You weren't looking. You were practically staring, there's a difference" I stated "not much of a difference actually. So, are you?" he teases "no. I was not!" I lie. "Can you please, just drive?" I ask annoyed.
.
We stuck on a long traffic jam.
Stuck. Long. Traffic. Jam. Help.
"I couldn't take it anymore! I bet the people who were walking are much more faster than us! We're in a car! They only have their legs! How could this be?" I exclaimed throwing my hands around. "Relax. It'll probably last for like half an hour or so." Liam said bluntly "but I'm hungry! We've been here for a whole hour! At this very spot!" I whine as I shifted uncomfortably on my seat.
"Well since I love visiting Cynthia, I know this place will have a traffic jam around this time so I brought some left over foods and water" Liam said handing me a small cooler bag filled with the leftover breakfast that I kept in the fridge with a couple bottles of water, "thanks" I thank him.
"You're not bad Adam." I said eating a hash brown "hey, don't drag my last name in! It's gonna be your last name too" he stated smirking.
Arabella Violet Avergy-Adam.
Eh, still seems weird.
After hearing some old 80s songs in the radio and eating the lovely hash browns, I've become relax. But sadly we aren't moving anywhere from the traffic jam. I sigh resting back with my travel pet pillow, water bottle and my phone which is luckily still 88% of battery left. I had my feet positioned in Indian style and my hand on my lap.
Sighing then lay my head on my right hand "still bored?" Liam ask looking over. He's been very normal about this traffic jam but also have his rough times. Like groaning in frustration, curse a few words and hit his head on the steering wheel. Weird seeing him like that though.
"Hey, it's going to be normal soon. I would have slept but I don't want you to be alone watching the car in front of you" he said holding my left hand, I look at his gorgeous green-blueish eye. "Thanks" I said smiling at his warm-hearted side of him.
"FINALLY!" I exclaimed loudly as we made it to Cynthia's house getting out of the car. "I thought I'm going to sit in there forever! And have my butt cheeks swollen!" I gush as Liam laugh at me coming out of the car following me. "You are so weird" he stated shaking his head "I know, but you love me" I tease "eh! Not really" he joke patting my head. "Hey! It's not good to pats people's head! I'm the same age as you" I said following him to the front door. "Well, I'm actually born in November '88 so I'm still older than you" he stated the facts.
