Prologue 

Welcome to the Island.  10 years ago, on the eve of Gemma Lepore's 11th birthday, she was abducted and left to rot on a hidden isle called Athoria Row.  Little did she know she was the price to pay for her parents' debt.  There's a chance she may never return to civilization and escape the horrors of the Island, unless those who care about her follow the orders of the cruel man behind it all, known to everyone as the Hollow Face.  A decade later, Gemma is still living on the Island.  Now accompanied by other victims of the Hollow Face, Gemma sets out to find a way to escape, but stumbles upon a dangerous and disturbing secret that may destroy them all.  

In the alleys of Venice, Italy, 18 year old Elfisio Lepore's parents have been murdered.  He is now the only one left who can free his sister from Athoria Row.  Undergoing physical transformations that morph him into something superhuman, Elfisio surrenders himself to the Hollow Face and vows to do whatever he says in order to earn his sisters freedom.  But what happens when Elfisio is asked to do something that could only end in death?

Torn from normality and thrusted into danger, these two siblings may not escape with their lives.
