"Don't do it!"
Whack.
"Don't hit him!"
Slap.
"Please! Please don't..."
Thud.
"No... No. No! No no no! He can't be... no! Kou!"
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Kou woke up in a cold sweat. 'What was that?' he thought. He tried to remember what he was dreaming about. Unfortunately, details were just sliding away, faster and faster. He did remember one thing though. A face. He remembered a girl's face. Or maybe a guy? It could've gone either way, and either way they were stunningly stupefying. And they were crying? They were crying and screaming, and he couldn't remember why they were. He thought it could possibly have been something to do with him. Kou felt intensely guilty.
Either way, he couldn't stay in bed forever thinking about them. He had to get ready for school, and he still hasn't finished all his homework. Not like he was going to finish it, anyways.
School was always very boring for Kou. He was just too smart for his grade, and his teachers and parents wouldn't let him skip a grade because his grades were horrendous. not bad, but horrendous. He tried explaining over and over that he didn't get good grades because the subject was just too easy to be any fun, it all became too mundane for him that he never did any of his work, except for those one or two questions the teacher made to "challenge" the students. Kou's answers to those "challenging questions" were always correct. Kou tried to explain that if he went up a grade, his grades would be better because he wouldn't be bored with his work. His parents and teachers never understood.
If that wasn't enough reason for him to hate school, then him not having any friends would help. Because of the combination of his personality, his sexuality, and the fact that he looked too hot and too perfect to be approachable by mere mortals, no one around his age even had the courage or the will to talk to him. Kou hated that he had no one to talk to at school. The only reason he never skipped out is that he would get a nasty beating from his parents if he did.
Now, don't get them wrong. Kou's parents were very nice and understanding parents. They didn't even look at him funny when he 'came out of the closet'. Instead, they smiled and said, "Good for you. Just make sure they like you too." Though if Kou got in any trouble that was remotely school related, he got in trouble with his parents big time. And by big time it meant he got the belt. Other than those very few times, Kou loved his parents very much. He gets frustrated when they don't understand him, though.
Kou just has to wait for the teacher to come in and take attendance so he can spend the next eight hours bored out of his mind and absentmindedly doodling in his notebook. He must say, his doodles are getting better. Maybe he could become an artist. After all, practice makes perfect and that's what he spends all his time doing at school, besides acing all the tests. And today they were especially good, probably because Kou was drawing the perfect person from his dreams.
The teacher came in a couple minutes late. Kou was mildly surprised, as he is usually punctual unless he had to go do something else, like transfer students. "Ah. Excuse me class, but after I take attendance, I will introduce you to our new student." Speak of the devil, it was a transfer student. Of course, the class erupted into thousands of whispered conversations about it, who were they and were they hot? Were they smart? Was it a girl? Kou didn't really care, though. It's not like they would talk to him.
The teacher took attendance, and then the teacher called in the transfer student. A guy named 'Casting', apparently. Curious, he looked up from his notebook where he was doodling out the face he saw in his dream, yet again. Kou nearly fell out of his seat in surprise, because he was looking at that exact same face. Not crying and screaming like they had been, but smiling gently instead. The smile seemed a little too sorrowful and gentle, but it was the exact same ocean deep blue eyes, the same perfectly formed nose, the reddish pink soft looking lips, pale skin that looked like a perfect layer of snow, and long, golden hair that put the sun to shame. It was the same, and Kou fell in love.
My god how Kou loved Casting. When he spoke, even if it was just a sigh of frustration, Kou would instantly fall into a daydream-like state. When he moved even an inch, Kou would want to hold him oh so close and feel his little movements. When Casting breathed, Kou wanted to bless the air and keep it with him for the rest of eternity. Kou wanted Casting.
Not to mention all the girls in his class swooned in awe and love for him.
