It had been a couple weeks since the beginning of college and the meeting of Dean. They had become kinda friends but they never really saw each other outside of class. This made Castiel kind of sad seeing as he had developed a mini-crush on Dean. He would never tell him though because Dean was straight. He had even told Cas that he had a date tonight which had bothered him a lot but didn't show it. Instead he faked a smile and told him that it was great.

At the moment Castiel was out driving his truck to the park. Even though it was night time and very dark, he still needed to just sit by the water and clear his mind with the cool night air. He was on his way through town toward the park when he spotted him. Dean was walking alone with a sad expression on his handsome face that Cas couldn't allow him to keep. He slowly and safely pulled his truck over and rolled the window down. "Hey Dean, are you ok?" " Never better, Cas. Never been better." Castiel did not believe him for a second and said," I can tell that's a lie Dean. Come on I'll take you to wherever you're headed." Dean just solemnly nodded and walked up to the truck, and slowly climbing in.

"Where were you headed Dean?" " To the park, I wanted to go there to think but it's fine. You can take me home." " Now why would I do that when I told you I'd take you to where you were going? Besides I was actually headed there anyway. So we are going to the park and theres no point in trying to change my mind now."

They quietly drove to the park, but the silence wasn't awkward or anything it was actually quite peaceful. When they arrived they went and sat down on the dock of the boathouse. Their legs swinging softly as they hung them over the edge. Calmly they sat in the sweet silence looking out over the water. Castiel decided he might as well try to start up a conversation so he asked why Dean had been walking alone on the road since he had said that he had a date. Dean sighed," I did have a date, but it didn't turn out well. It was with this girl Lisa. She's really nice and I really like her, it was going well until the end. I walked her home and then when I dropped her off, She kissed me. But something weird happened..." "What happened?" Castiel asked curiously. " I flinched and pulled back that's what. I don't even know why but I just felt disgusted all the sudden. It was weird, I've never felt anything like that before." Cas sat there in a shocked silence. He could not have thought that Dean would pull back from a kiss with her. He had heard from other people that dean was already the player of the school. "Well maybe you just didn't like her as much as you thought you did. It's ok to not like someone you know." It was in this moment that Castiel realized that he had sorta been referring to himself. Although it did hurt him to know that he would never like him like that he had to try. Slowly he leant in and kissed dean full on the mouth. At first Dean widened his bright green eyes and didn't kiss back but then something in the pit of his stomach had him kissing Cas back hungrily. Dean brought his hands up and they got tangled in Cas' hair, Until something clicked in his mind. Dean pushed him away standing up and turning around to face the boathouse. Cas looked down at the lake,"I'm sorry." Dean just stood in silence for a moment then walked away. Leaving Castiel he began walking home.
