As many of you know "The Child Called It" is the heart-breaking story of David Pelzer growing up. Many of us read the book, at least tried then couldn't finish because of how emotional it got.
David Pelzer is an American author born on December 29, 1960 in San Francisco. David said that he grew up with abuse and mistreatment by his mother, because she thought of it as a game. He faced many treatment that would definitely be classified as abuse today, but we wont say what because its emotional. On March 5th of 1973 his teacher noticed this and stepped in where later David found himself in a foster care. In David's second book for The Child Called It he wrote about going to court, where his mother tried to convince him to come BACK HOME!!!!! David did not go home with his mother, the judge let him stay with his foster parents, YAY!!!!!
When David was 18 he joined the U.S. Air Force and served in the Gulf War.
After all of this happened he got married in the 1980's to his first wife Pasty. Pasty is an pseudonym. David had his first son with Pasty. David and Pasty got divorced many years after their marriage. Years later David found Marsha who soon became his second wife, also his book editor!!!!
