I understand why mom is so mad at dad, he's a raging alcoholic and doesn't have a job. Mom is a great woman, her name is Andrea and shes sort of short with long black hair. Everyone says I'm her twin, I'm a spitting image of my mother. Dad on the other hand looks like a run down Elvis Presley, he's got thick black hair and looks ten years older than he is.
This is the first time I've ever heard them fight like this. I knew mom would explode at some point but I didn't know it'd be this soon.
"Kathryn pack your things, we're going to Eschol's." mom says as she runs into my room. While she's getting her suitcase from my closet she tells me she wants to divorce dad, which I'm okay with.
Two hours later I'm walking out of my house with my mom and leaving for North California.
