Today is the day. I've waited so long for this. I'm finally done with high school. Now my best friend, Mia Garcia & I are going on our rode trip. We've been planning this since we were 9 years old. Excited isn't a word to describe the feelings I have right now.

I put the last luggage in the trunk of my car and slam the trunk door shut. "Are you ready?" I looked to the right of me at my best friend. She nodded and hugged me from the side. 

"I'm so excited!" she squealed while she jumped up and down.

"I know! This going to be the trip of a lifetime!" 

I hopped in the drivers seat and she climbed into the passengers. We both put our shades on and I started the car. "TO CALIFORNIA!" we cheered in sync. We only lived 4 hours away so the drive wouldn't be that long but it still gave us time to bond even more, if that was even possible.

Mia & I have been best friends for what seems like forever. I had one best friend before her though, Daniel. He was cool and wasn't like other boys. He was very ambitious and had the kindest heart I swear, his mom Justine used to bake cookies for us and we'd have play dates all the time when we were five. But then he moved....

I looked down at the half heart neckless that he had given me for my 11th birthday, I still keep it close to me even after 7 years. I kissed it for good luck, I couldn't keep my self from smiling. Even though Daniel is a famous rapper now he will forever be that boy who gave me my first kiss under the slide in Kindergarten.

Mia on the other hand was shocked to find out that I had been bestfriends with one of the hottest rappers out right now. She's a fan of his music and also thinks him & I would make a cute couple. Not going to lie, I've thought about us being together but I wouldn't want to ruin the 7 year friendship that we share. Well that is if he still remembers me....

We decided to make a stop at a gas station, we're almost to Cali. We've talked the whole drive so far just reminicisng and laughing at how foolish we were back then. 

Mia went to the bathroom and I went to pick up some snacks. 2 bags of chips, 2 candy bars & 2 blue gatorades. We both had the same taste in junk food so it wasn't hard to figure out what to get her. I sat my stuff on the counter and pulled out my wallet. As I handed the cashier my money I spotted adverstisment with Daniel or should I say Diggy on a small television hanging on the wall.

"Turn that up please." I asked. He nodded and turned the volume on the TV up.

Wow. That's tonight. Mia entered the room watching aswell. "We should go!" she exclaimed.

"Tickets are probably sold out already, it's tonight."

"Daniel will let you in for free."

"He probably doesn't even remember me." I said grabbing the bag and making my way out the door. 

"I'm sure he does, you guys were like inseparable from what I hear." she said nudging me.

"Well people change." I said returning back to the drivers seat. We didn't need gas we had already filled up before we left and plus the car was good on gas.
