"What's your name sweetheart?" I take a deep breath before answering the alpha in a small voice.
"My name is Andrea." I feel my mates eyelashes move against my neck before his hands tighten around my arms.
"Andrea the omega?"
"Yes, sir." I reply. He growls before pushing me away from him.
"Get out of this house. Have breakfast done before I wake up. I don't want to have to smell you. You are no longer allowed in the pack house except for chores and meals. Stay away from me. If you smell me, you are too close." He takes the baby away from me. "She is finding a new person to take care of her." I nod quickly. "Now leave. I never want to see you again." I quickly run out of the house.
I feel like I just got rejected but what was what I was expecting. I should have known that I was going to get rejected. I'm an omega. I've just gotta suck it up and follow the rules. What else is there to do in my life?
I got in my makeshift bed and fell asleep. I woke up before my internal alarm. I quickly ran to the pack house to make breakfast. I make pancakes, omelets, and left out cereal for those who wanted it. I finished just at five thirty. The alpha will be down any minute now.
I run out of the pack house so the alpha won't get mad at me. I sit on the forest floor a few feet in so I can be seen if somebody is looking for me but I won't be seen by just a quick glance. I also want to be able to see the pack house.
After half an hour or so, people start to wake up. I can tell because their lights come on. They are probably getting ready for school or work. I hear laughs and giggles from the inside. People are teasing their mates, children are playing with each other, elderly knitting together, teenagers making out with each other. I will never get to do that. My mate rejected me and I'm going to live the rest of my days as an omega. A little pathetic omega.
"Omega." I hear a voice call from the front door. It's my brother, Dean. I immediately exit the forest and run over to him. I don't want him to get off the porch or wait long.
"Yes, sir." I say quickly, almost out of breath.
"You have more rules." I nod quickly and reach out my arm. The bruise from the one I just got from Saturday is still there. "You are no longer allowed to have any contact with the alpha. You have to be awake by 4:30. And you can only be in the pack house for an hour at a time with half hour breaks outside."
"Yes, sir." I reply as he sticks the needle into my arm. He doesn't do it kindly either. He never does.
"Now go to school." He says before pushing me off the steps.
"Yes, sir." I reply as I get up and run to the school building.
I go to a normal werewolf school. We learn math, science, english, and fighting techniques. Well, I don't get to learn fighting. I have to take a normal PE class with the few humans that go to the school. There are more werewolves than humans at the school, but there are still humans. They have no idea of the existence of werewolves. The classes such as Mate Ed and Training, are disguised as Child Care and PE. Obviously humans that want to take Child Care are not allowed in the class. Even though there are humans, werewolves only have classes with werewolves and humans have classes with humans. I'm the only exception with PE.
I take my assigned seat in the front of the Algebra 2 classroom. I'm the only person with an assigned seat because I'm an omega. Once I'm seated I get my math textbook out of my bag. It's a drawstring bag that one of the middle-aged ladies gave me when I was in kindergarten. I've kept it in good condition because I knew it was the only bag I'd ever have.
