Part Four
Eimi slid into the third floor of Himeji High School, slipping into the shadows. With her dark black hair and her black uniform, she blended in easily.
She shut the window behind her, and just in time too. A flashlight beam shone around the area, narrowly missing her. She scaled the wall like a ninja and grabbed a ceiling beam, hauling herself up.
Eimi moved with grace and swiftness, quickly making her way across the hallway in the air. Once or twice she nearly slipped, but she was used to this kind of stuff so it wasn't that hard.
Eimi made a left turn at a fork in the hallway and approached the infirmary. She hopped down from the ceiling easily upon seeing Fuyubayashi Shuu's name on the door, careful to stay out of sight.
Her pale hand reached forward to twist the doorknob, gently pushing the door open--
Crash!
"Who's there?"
Just her luck, blond haired Dr. Yamamoto's voice came from inside. It was too late to hide now; Eimi had no choice but to push inside. "Arere?" She said innocently. "Sensei's here too?"
"A student?" Dr. Yamamoto looked over at her from where she sat next to the sleeping Shuu, startled. A broken syringe and a bubbly yellow liquid lay at her feet. She must've dropped it by accident when Eimi had entered. She smiled at Eimi, climbing to her feet. "Hello, I am Yamamoto Mizue, 'Miracle Nurse.' Shouldn't you be in the assembly right now?"
"Ah, un, but Senpai gave me the okay," Eimi shut the door behind her as she entered, sneakily snagging a syringe from near the doorway and sticking it in her skirt pocket. She smiled at Dr. Yamamoto. "I'm a freshman, Mihara Eimi. I actually wanted to pay Shuu-senpai a visit. His sister and I are friends, after all."
"Ah, I see," Dr. Yamamoto nodded kindly. "Take your time, then."
Eimi knew how to get her out of there. "Ah, Sensei, do you need help cleaning that up?" She headed towards the mess, but Dr. Yamamoto leaped up quickly.
"No, no," she insisted. "I have it under control. You startled me when you entered, that's all. Mihara-san, you just sit over there, okay?"
She hurriedly rushed from the room.
Safety first, huh? Eimi thought to herself. Works like a charm.
She raised the syringe to cast another Paralysis Cast, ready to make an antidote--
"Arere?" Eimi set the syringe aside and placed her hand on Shuu's forehead lightly.
"I'm not Meika-chan, but I guess even I can Cast this tiny spell..." She closed her eyes and concentrated. "Shadow Cast: Cast Read."
A flow of magic power flooded through her, and she frowned as she read the Cast Spell that had been most recently Casted--
She tilted her head. "A Spirit Cast...?"
I haven't seen a poison effect that is able to have the effect of a Spirit Cast... She frowned. I wonder who--
Eimi heard footsteps and her eyes widened. Shoot! She's coming back!
The girl bit her lip nervously. If all she had had to do was heal him with a Paralysis Cast, it would've been relatively simple. But for Eimi who was not experienced in Shadow Casting (like Meika was), the Casting took her longer than usual. Also, a Spirit Cast would take another two minutes...
