Maybe because the birthday guy had a plan? Or maybe he consider Mikoto as a friend too? No one knows. But she was there in the party.
As the party goes on, every guy invited to it get drunk thanks to Motoharu's idea. And that also includes Touma.
Since Fukiyose leaved early and Maika can't take Touma and Motoharu back at their dorms alone, Mikoto, who was the only one in the group who know where Touma's dorm is, was forced to drag him home.
However, before she could even leave the dorm, he said something that made her stop.
"Misaka Mikoto,I love you..." he whispered before he fall asleep.
The next day, Mikoto, who can't get over with it, invite Touma to the usual vending machine to ask him directly.
"Hey..." she started. "About what you said last night... d-d-d-do you really mean it?"
