-Connor

7.57 PM, Connor
Hey u awake?

It didn't take long between Connor sending a text to Troye, and Connor getting bored since Troye didn't answer.

After the boredom came the anxiety. Connor knew how fast people grew to dislike him, how fast people started getting bored with him. No one had ever stayed long enough to get to know the real Connor, and since they all had gained his trust and misused it he had decided to not let anyone get the chance to do that ever again.

Until this guy randomly texted him, and not that Connor had totally opened up to him. But this was definitely the closest he's been to having a friend in years.

Connor sat down in his sofa with his laptop in front of him. If he was going to be ignored by the only one who actually would want to talk to him, he was going to waste his time on something else than just sitting there, waiting for the other person to text him back.

He picked up his phone one last time which had already the messenger app open since he checked for answers from Troye a couple of minutes ago. His fingers fast typed in the words before pressing send.

8.16 PM, Connor
K I'll take that as a no, you're still asleep

He put his phone down next to his laptop which he let his fingertips dance over as he went on YouTube and started watching some videos. He didn't really care about which video he was watching nor could he focus on what happened in that video.

He just wasn't in the mood for anything right now. He'd rather just curl up in his bed with his phone, talking to Troye. Because when he talked to Troye he didn't really have to do anything. They could talk about anything, which probably was because they didn't know each other. And because they hadn't met because of any particular reason, like if they'd both like the same music they'd probably be talking about that music all the time. But this felt better to Connor, this felt more real.

Connor got up from his sofa, not bothering to pause the video while he went to his kitchen to grab something to eat. He didn't want anything too sweet or unhealthy but at the same time he didn't want anything some sport freak would eat the day before a competition. He checked his fridge and  some shelves, before deciding to take a green apple from the fruit bowl on the table.

He walked back to his sofa and sat down in front of the laptop that was still playing the video of Joe Sugg trying American candy. Connor let out a sigh before taking a first bite of the apple.

As soon as the video was done he clicked on the first one of the recommended ones which he found out to be a collab with Caspar Lee. After watching less than the half video something else caught his attention.

It was the screen of his phone lighting up, telling him the only thing he wanted to see.

10.32 PM, Troye
Oh hey

Connor smiled as he swiped his finger over the screen and typed in his lock code to only a second later see his and Troye's earlier conversation.

10.32 PM, Troye
Sorry I didn't answer

10.32 PM, Troye
I was alseep

"Cute", was the first word that popped up in Connor's brain. He thought more about it and decided that it truly was cute that Troye had slept until half past ten in the night. They had talked earlier this morning and then he must've fell asleep.

10.33 PM, Troye
You know I can see you've read

The message made Connor really uncomfortable, he felt a little bad for not answering immediately.

10.33 PM, Troye
You're not sad about me not answering, right?

10.34 PM, Connor
Of course not!

That wasn't 100 percent true but he didn't want to tell Troye how he thought he had gotten bored with him. The boy had only been asleep.

10.34 PM, Troye
Good that!

Connor didn't know what to answer so he went with the easiest question in the history of texting:

10.36 PM, Connor
So what are you up to?

10.36 PM, Troye
Nothing much, you?

10.36 PM, Connor
Nothing much...

Fuck, the word circulated Connors mind. That must've been the most awkward conversation ever

10.36 PM, Troye
Okayyy......

Connor had no idea what to say to keep the conversation alive, but he didn't want Troye to leave. He had to come up with something they could talk about.

10.37 PM, Troye
Wait where are you from?

That's the first time it hit Connor that they maybe didn't live in the same part of the world.

10.37 PM, Connor
LA, you?

10.38 PM, Troye
Oh really? I live in Perth

Connor frowned in confusion; where the hell in the world was Perth? Was it a country? He knew nothing about geography thanks to US education system.

10.38 PM, Connor
Not to be rude, but where's Perth?

10.38 PM, Troye
A city in west Australia haha

Australia?

10.38 PM, Connor
Wait so what time is it there?

10.38 PM, Troye
It's like 2.40 pm

Well that explains why he woke up at 10.30 pm...

10.39 PM, Troye
You know what?

Connor obviously didn't

10.39 PM, Connor
No what?

10.39 PM, Troye
I'm actually going to LA in like less than a month

10.39 PM, Connor
Oh really? What are you gonna be doing here?

10.39 PM, Troye
Just passing by haha

10.39 PM, Troye
I'm going to San Francisco to meet my boyfriend

He was gay, the thought made Connor feel a tingly feeling in his stomach. He hadn't met the guy, but the thought of him being gay did make Connor bite his lip. Quickly, before reminding himself of the fact that Troye had said he had a boyfriend.

10.40 PM, Connor
Maybe we should meet?

Okay the fact that I'll have to think of the time difference pisses me off, and the fact that I haven't thought of that until now pisses me off  even more... Ugh
But I'm thinking of writing some oneshots because my brain is totally exploding with ideas and I do not want to start 72 billion projects I feel like I'll never be able to finish (fun fact: this story started because of a oneshot I wrote that I wanted to become a whole story). But yeah what I wanted to say with this was, what would you guys think of that? Would you like me writing a series of oneshots?
Hugs and kisses to all of you guys! You are truly amazing and beautiful, and let nobody tell you otherwise!
