Karlie's POV
The amount of nervousness I feel right now is undescribeable. I am so scared because I have to take one of the longest, and hardest solos, in the song. I hope, I hope, I hope, I don't screw it all up. Simon was the most critical on me last time, he said I couldn't sing. The Simon Cowell, said I couldn't sing, and I guess that's why it took me so long to get over it. I was devestated, I felt like I was worthless. I didn't want to sing another note. I never thought I was that good anyway, but the girls conviced me otherwise. So, here I am going to prove myself to Simon.
We walk out on the stage, and the pure shock on Simon's face brings me the greatest joy! He, for once, has nothing to say! So, I start the conversation, sassily, "Hey Simon, how've ya been?" He composes himself and says, "I'm fine thank you." Then Demi speaks and says "You owe me 150 bucks! I told you they would come back!" We all start laughing. "So ladies," L.A. Reed begins "what will you be singing today?" Nola replies "Ummm, we will be singing 'Turn Your Face' by Little Mix." "You can begin." Brittney says.
Julia begins:
In my memory, all the small things, like daggers in my mind
In my memory, while my head bleeds, the words I'll never find
That I always meant to say to you I can't
Nola:
Cause you turned your face, and now I can't feel you anymore
Turn your face, so now I can't see you anymore
Walk away until you're not standing at my door
Turn your face, walk away and stay
Turn your face, hmm oh
I walk striaght up to Simon, and all the saddness and anger build up inside me. I walk striaght up to him and sang my heart out.
Me:
In my memory, I was hurting, long before we met, oh
In my memory, there's still burning, fingerprints you left
And I'll always meant to say to you I can't
So just turn your face, until I can't see you anymore
Turn your face, until I can't see you anymore
Walk away until you're not standing at my door
Turn your face, walk away and stay
Turn your face
and I walk back to stand by the girls. As rosella begins her solo.
Rosella:
Each time I take you back
You bring one thousand cracks
And I accept them, like a fool oh
Karlie:
So now what's your excuse
What do we have to lose
Since I'm already losing you
Marie:
So hard to face, that I can't feel you anymore
Hard to face, that I can't see you anymore
Me:
So walk away, until you're not standing at my door
Turn your face, walk away, and stay
Turn your face
Turn your face, and stay
Turn your face
The crowd is insane. Even the judges are standing. I am so happy! We killed that! I feel like I could do a backflip, so I do one! The crowd starts cheering some more! The crowd simmers down when they hear Simon's deep voice, "Well, ladies I'll say you haved improved, but before I make a decicion I will let the other judges cast their vote." What the hell? Why can't he just say it now? What was the piont of that?
"Girls, girls, girls!...Girls! That was beautiful!" L.A. says, "I said no last time because I thought you all weren't ready yet. You have matured, so my answer has changed, it's a YES!" I feel another rush of energy, and I guess the audience does to, because they start cheering again. But it subsides as Brittney starts to speak. "I have to say ladies it was very good, but I just don't feel it for you, my answer is no, sorry." The crowd starts boo-ing, and I join. A yes and a no, and I start getting nervous. What if the other judges say no? What if we don't make it? Demi speaks up "Well, Brittney, I have to disagree." The crowd starts cheering and let let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding as she continues to speak,"I thought it was absolutly amazing! I see great things coming from you girls! My answer is..YES!" The audience only get louder, then shushes as they realize Simon is our only hope.
Then he starts speaking, and I tense.
"I have to say, you girls have matured," he pauses, and I tense more as Nola grabs my hand. "I think you are going to make it, this time I am not making to make the wrong decicion again, my answer is yes."
We are screaming! I grabbed Nola and hugged her and the other girls all joined in, and we said our thank you's and walk off the stage.
