"DADDY!! THERE'S A SPIDER ON MY CEILING!!!" I yelled. "Another one ? Shit, maybe we should have the house checked out by an exterminator," he said as he smashed the spider with a newspaper. He climbed down from the chair and made his way to the door. "Thanks dad. I can't put into words how much I hate spiders." I smiled. He turned and looked at me, the low lighting casting an eerie shadow across his face. "Any time lad. But Adara, you're almost 20 and you need to learn how to handle things on your own. I won't be there to kill the spiders in your house." I looked at the shiny marble floors and pulled my blankets closer to my face. "Yeah...." My voice faded because I knew the was right. He smiled a little and walked out, closing the door behind him. Letting out a huge sigh, I looked around my room. Because my closet door was cracked and the light was on, I could see my clothes and shoes. My Uggs sat on the shelf, next to my Michael Kors purses and my collection of Valentino pumps. None of my family in Ireland lives like me and my dad do, which is why I'm hesitant to leave. I guess I'll have to grow up sooner or later. I rolled over and turned off my lamp, closing my eyes.
