Evangeline~
I can't believe my cousin is dead, I thought to myself as I was on the plane. And the fact that the police don't know how she died really disturbs me. My plane landed a few hours later, I was greeted by a very very depressed looking Aunt Karen.

''I'm so sorry.'' I said bursting out into tears.

''I just can't believe my daughter is g-gone.'' she sobbed.

We collected all of my luggage and made our way to Aunt Karen's house.

''So umm Evangeline, your mother told me that she wanted you to say here for the year, seeing as you want to attend college here, she thought it'd be good for you to experience what life is like here.'' My aunt said.

''What! She could have at least told me so that I could pack appropriately. Now you're going to have to take me shopping.'' I said with a grin.

''Fine, I'll take you shopping.'' she said. "But in the mean time, you can go up to the school and have a look around so you'll know what to expect when you start there in two days.'' She said.

''Ugggh, fine." I said lazily.

And with that I changed into some black skinny jeans and my favorite twenty one pilots shirt and headed out. I made my way into the park and decided to play on the swings, it was Cassandras' favorite thing to do when we were little. After a while of thinking about my cousin, I finally decided to head up to the local high school. I approached the school from what I'm assuming was the back parking lot. Entering the school I heard foot steps close behind me.

''Hello, is anyone there?'' I questioned.

When I was rewarded no response, I continued exploring the school. I really had the feeling that I was being followed, so I decided to head back. When leaving the school, I saw a shortcut through the woods, so I decided to take the shorter way. Once entering the woods I was quickly regretful. I kept hearing noises and twigs snapping. I did what any other girl my age would do, I ran. I kept running until I ran into something, later to find out someone.

"Well someone looks like they just saw a ghost." The stranger said.
"Im sorry, someone was following me." I said trying to catch my breath.
"Well did you at least get a good look at them?? " he questioned
"No" I sighed in defeat.
"Anyway, are you new in town?" He asked.
"No, not really. I used to come visit my cousin alot" I said.
"So you're visiting her again?" her asked.
"You could say that in a way I guess. I'm here for her funeral actually." I said.
"Oh I'm so sorry for your loss." he said looking guilty.
"Yeah, me too. Anyway, do you go to the high school around here?" I asked trying to change the subject.
"Yeah... It's okay, but some people can be real dicks. Oh, I'm Tyler by the way." he said extending a hand for me to shake.
"Evangeline." I said with a smile as I took his extended hand. "Well, it was nice meeting you, but I have to get going. See you around." I finished.
"OK, nice meeting you too."

Getting home, I took a shower and decided to take a nap.
