A flash of lightning revealed the silhouette of a young girl dancing in the rain, singing as she twirls through the puddles.  Kyoko Namikawa loved nothing more than nasty downpours. Every time it rained she felt it was her duty to welcome it by dancing as the water poured on her soaking her to the bone.
 Kyoko jumped in a puddling squealing with laughter.  It hadn't rained in so long she felt the earth was sad.  She decided to take a stroll to admire the beauty in the rain.  She inhaled deeply to enjoy the beautiful scent on the it.  She loved everything about the rain; the water, the scent, the feel, the sound... but something was off.  She listened closely trying to figure out what it was.  slowly she tuned out the noise of the rain to hear the strange sound... much like someone panting, or crying maybe.  She decided to follow the noise, she could use something exciting right about now.
She followed the strange noise a few yards to find a man with a gun pointed at his head.  He nervously gripped the gun and sobbed.  Just as he was about to pull the trigger Kyoko snatched the gun away. The man began to panic reaching for the gun. "N-no! please! I....I have to.." He gasped.
"You have to? Why's that?"
"You can't tell by looking at me?"
A flash of lightning revealed his face which was covered with stitches and blood.
"What happened to you?" She questioned.
He collapsed again to the ground sobbing.  "They.. I..." He mumbles off speaking some form of gibberish it seems. "Hey..." She pats his back trying to be sympathetic. "I'm sure everything will be fine. Let's just go-"
"No!" He shouted.
"You don't understand! I shouldn't be here! I shouldn't be alive!"
Kyoko tilted her head in confusion. "What's your name?" She asked
"Ha... my name... I wonder which one is actually me.."
She jumped at his response. What did he mean?
"I... I'm a monster.." He sobbed. "Why did this have to happen?" He grabbed Kyoko shoulders. "Please! Please just kill me! I'm begging you! Don't let me live...not with the sin I've committed.."
"Now, now. It can't possibly be that bad, love."
He sighed. "Miss. I am made up of many different species." He turned away.
"What do you mean?" She tugged on his arm as another flash of lightning revealed the tears rolling off his cheek.
"About a mile away... There's a laboratory. I highly doubt anyone even knows about it..
They.... sacrificed so many people to create me..." Kyoko felt sorrowful for the man before her
"How am I supposed to go on living knowing how many died for my creation..?" He whispered.
"Let me get this straight.." she said standing up again.
"A scientist somehow used several people to create you? Is that why you have patches of flesh stitched every where?" She asked.
He turned away and nodded yes.
"So which part is actually you? Are you one of the scientists or are you an entire new personality?"
He looked at her with a pained expression. "That would be nice to know wouldn't it?"
She nodded and sat next to him again. "So let's try again."
"What's the point?" He moaned.
"Ssh, just shut up and let me talk. Okay, so you were created with no memories of what happened to you exactly, correct?" He nodded. "And you aren't sure who you are?" He nodded once more.
They sat in silence listening to the rain.
"I've got an idea." Kyoko finally proclaimed. "Since you don't know who you are.. why don't you just start over?"
"Start over?" He questioned. "Correct! Pick a new name and-"
"...No! I can't!" he hugged his knees.
"You're still concerned about the lives that were taken for you to exist?" He didn't respond.
"That's why you have to do this." He looked up at her with a questioning expression.
"You're sad that lives were taken to create you. So that's why you have to do this. You have to make those lives matter!" He stared her in silence. After a few minutes he stood up and hugged Kyoko.
She chuckled. "And now for the naming process! Anything you like? I could name a few if you'd like."
He nodded. "Alrighty let's see... George? Satoshi? Luke? Erwin?-"
"No no stop!" He chuckled "You're terrible at this!" She pouted. "Oh yeeeeaaaah? Don't suppose you have something better?" He sat down and stared into the lake behind them. "Lussuria." He finally stated. "Lussuria? That's pretty random. Why that one?"
"I read a book while I was in the laboratory about a man named Lussuria." He answered. "I just like the name I guess." he shrugged.
"Okay, nice, nice. Moving on then."
"Moving on?" He questioned
"Absolutely. Now we have to pick a personality!"
He stared at her. She just giggled. "We can leave that for later. For now lets head to my place and get some food in you!"
"N-no you don't have to do that-" His stomach growled loudly interrupting him. She grinned.
"It's settled then! Onward!" She started skipping to her house and noticed Lussuria wasn't following her. "Eh, What's the matter?"
He stared at his feet. "Is.....Is this really okay?" She walked over towards him and grabbed his hands. "Of course it is! Come on now!" She started dragging him along with her. "I'll make you some super yummy stew!" He smiled slowly realizing who it was he wanted to be.

"Here we go! Welcome to my humble home." she proclaimed.
Lussuria looked around analyzing everything around him. It was strange but one things for sure; It was much cozier than the laboratory. "Good thing I already had the stew in the crock pot. It should be done by now." She skipped to the kitchen to check on the food and Lussuria followed. The kitchen looked nice as well. "Aha! Smell that!" Lussuria inhaled to smell the aroma of a homemade stew. It was very relaxing to him. "Feel free to sit down." She smiled and pointed to the chair in the corner by the table. He took a seat as she asked and continued to look around. Kyoko put a bowl of stew in front of Lussuria. "Anything you want to drink? I have water and Milk."
"Water's fine.."
He stared into the bowl of stew. It looked so delicious.
Kyoko came back with his cup and of water. "What are you waiting for? Eat up!" He took a bite and started shoveling food in his mouth. "Whoa tiger!" She giggled. "No one's gonna take it away. go ahead and enjoy it." He nodded. Kyoko smiled and walked back to the counter to serve herself a bowl.
After they ate she showed Lussuria to the bathroom. "Here, why don't you take a bath? I'll run to the store and get you some clean clothes!"
"But-!"
"Nah ah ah!" Kyoko interrupted. You're gonna take a bath, and I'm going to buy you some clothes! Not buts!" She shoved him in the bathroom. Just leave your clothes in that corner and I'll clean them for you. I think I still have that extra futon... maybe I'll check before I leave.." She shut him in the bathroom and walked away.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kyoko knocked on the bathroom door. "Hey, I have your clothes I'll leave them right outside the door." She placed them beside the door and proceeded to clear a place for his futon.
Lussuria dressed himself and walked to the main room where Kyoko was placing a futon down.
"You can sleep here for tonight." She grinned. Lussuria nodded and helped her finish up.
Kyoko brought Lussuria back to the bathroom. "I bought you a tooth brush. Here, you know how to do it right?" He chuckled. "Of course." Kyoko nodded. "Off you go then!"
After changing into her night gown she went back downstairs to see how Lussuria was doing.
She found him looking at some pictures of her family. He noticed on the corner of his eye Kyoko coming down the stairs a felt embarrassed about looking through her stuff. He put the photo album back on the shelf. She giggled "It's alright. I don't mind if you look. You don't have a family, eh? Must be lonely. Then again when you have a family of psychopaths... hee hee never mind." Lussuria forced himself to chuckle at that.
After a few hours of pleasant conversation Kyoko decided it to be bedtime. Before heading to bed her self she tucked Lussuria in and kissed his forehead. "Goodnight, love." She smiled and continued up to her room.
After brushing her teeth she did a few stretches and climbed into bed, where she had hours of dreamless sleep. About 3AM Kyoko heard a noise in her room but ignored the many possibilities of what it could be. Just as she was about to fall asleep again she felt somebody climbing into bed with her. So awoke to Lussuria tightly holding on to her. Kyoko pat Lussuria's back. "Now, now... Did you have a nightmare?" Lussuria nodded. He'll probably have nightmares for quite some time...  She thought. He clung to Kyoko tighter. "Do you wanna talk about it?" She suggested. But he just sighed. Silence quickly fell around the room. Kyoko was on the verge of falling asleep again when she heard Lussuria mumbling. "W-whaaaaat was that, now?" She yawned. Lussuria sat up so she could see his face. "I...I have decided something." Kyoko nodded waiting for him to continue. He took a deep breath. "I have decided... who I want to be."
"That was rather quick."
"Yes, but It's my decision."
"True, true." Kyoko sat up and smiled. "Go on then."
"I-I... I want to be the person who will protect you."
Kyoko jumped at his response. "Why.. would you want to protect-"
"I'm not done." Lussuria interrupted. She nodded for him to continue.
"I don't want to protect you just once or twice... I'm going to protect you until the day I die. I will be forever by your side... If you'll allow me..." He looked up to see Kyoko a bright hue of red. She coughed and brushed her fingers through her hair. "I.. I guess if you WANTED to then I couldn't stop you..." She looked up at the ceiling. Lussuria chuckled and gave her a salute. "Your bodyguard, Lussuria! Reporting for duty." Kyoko started to roar with laughter. "No, no! Drop the whole saluting thing. Just be my friend. Kay?" She grabbed his hands and smiled causing Lussuria to blush.
"From now on... until forever..."
