Tyler sat in the back row and stared at the bland scenery scrolling past his window. He couldn't believe this was actually happening. The minute he and the other 'criminals' boarded the yellow bus he knew he wasn't dreaming.
To think that a month ago he had been labeled as most famous and rich the moment the medallion had encased his neck. Now his fame, money, and assets were all gone. They even took the medal. To him that was a slap in the face for everything he had worked for.
Poor Mark. Tyler wondered who had really murdered Mark. Mark had been his closest friend in the whole world. Well, his only friend. Tyler wasn't antisocial, he was just a little introverted at times. While that drove most people away and had marked him as the quiet kid during his school days, Mark had just strolled right into his life.
Mark had broke down all the walls Tyler had unknowingly placed around himself. What Tyler considered were his faults Mark claimed to be awesome and were what made Tyler unique. Mark had been there for Tyler for all the good times and the bad. And now he's gone.
The tears felt cool as they glistened and glided down his cheeks. Who ever is responsible, I will lie and cheat to find you. And when I do, be prepared. I will avenge you Mark. Tyler closed his eyes after uttering his oath silently in his head and bided his time.
