Ronnie's Boy

Part 1

It was late at night when Ronnie was on facebook.
He was just about to shut down his laptop when something caught his eye.
"What's this?" Ronnie wondered as he looked at the link
"New anti depressant, Genox currently in the testing phases. We're looking for new test subjects! If you are interested, please contact UniTech Laborotories at their email address contact@unitech-labs.com and they will send you a sample." It read
Ronnie was curious so, he sent an email to the lab.
The next day, Ronnie was at the studio with his bandmates when he saw a truck pull into the parking lot as he looked out the window.
Jacky looked up from his guitar and asked "Where are you going Ronnie?"
Ronnie had to come up with a quick fib to cover his ass.
"Um...I'm expecting a package." He said
"So you had it sent here?" Ryan asked
"Yeah." Ronnie replied as he walked out of the studio
Ryan, Jacky and the guys just shrugged then went to the window to watch Ronnie as he went to accept his "package".
Meanwhile outside, Ronnie signed the forms and took the parcel from the mail carrier.
Then, to hide the sample from his bandmates, he put it in his car and decided to take it later.
Later that day, Ronnie opened the sample and took a moment to think about what he was about to get himself into.
"Seems harmless enough." He shrugged before taking the capsule
That afternoon, he began to feel very energetic so, he called Andy to talk.
"Hey Andy! It's Ronnie! Pick up the phone! Let's hang out!" He said after hearing Andy's voicemail
After making that call, Ronnie turned on the TV to a comedy movie and began laughing at every scene.
Then, the phone rang.
"Hello?" Ronnie said
"You called?" Andy replied
"ANDY!" Ronnie shouted with excitement "what's up man?"
"What's going on, Ronnie?" Andy asked "Did you want to hang out tonight?"
"Yeah!" Ronnie said
"Cool! I'll be there in an hour." Andy said
Later in Andy's car, Ronnie began to feel sick.
Andy looked over at Ronnie and asked "Are you okay?"
"I don't know...I was fine when you picked me up. But, now I feel like I'm gonna puke." Ronnie said as he quickly covered his mouth
"It's probably motion sickness. I'll slow down." Andy said
Later at the bar, Ronnie began to feel even worse.
Soon, while Andy was ordering drinks, Ronnie fell off of his bar stool.
"Oh my God!" The bar employee exclaimed as she watched Ronnie fall to the floor
Andy looked over and jumped off of his stool to look Ronnie over.
"Ronnie, are you okay? How many fingers am I holding up?" Andy asked
"I don't know. I can't see them!" Ronnie said
"You should take your friend to the hospital just to see if he's okay." The bar employee said
"I'm fine!" Ronnie shouted
"No you're not! What if you have a concussion?" Andy asked
Ronnie groaned "Alright."
Later at the hospital, Ronnie insisted that he was fine but when the doctor looked him over, his stubborn behavior turned into shock.
"Hey Ronnie. What's going on?" Andy asked
"Uh...I'm disoriented." Ronnie said as he tried to stand up then, fell over as Andy caught him
"That's it. I'm talking to the doctor." Andy said as he helped Ronnie back to the chair
That night after Ronnie was released from the hospital, he began to feel sick to his stomach.
So sick that he vomited up everything that he ate that day.
He took a breath and stepped back from the toilet but it wasn't too long until another wave of nausea hit him again.
"What did that drug do to me?" Ronnie thought
