Chapter 5

I directed the men moving our things into the new house while the kids ran rampant.

"Mom please can we get a puppy?" Roman begged behind me.

"Go play," I answered starting to catch a headache.

The commotion died down as the movers finished up and everyone got their rooms settled.

After dinner I took a shower and laid down exhausted.

"Please. Please. Please. Please. Please." All the twins repeated standing next to the bed.

I tried to ignore them but they were relentless.

"Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please."

"Yes! Damn! Yes you can have a puppy! Now get out." I said turning out the lamp.

"Mommy?" Sophia said.

"Come in baby," I answered.

"It's dark."

I cut the lamp on and she ran to the bed and got in. Cutting on the tv I cut the lamp off as she snuggled next to me and I went back to sleep.

I woke up to a light tapping on my arm.

"Momma..." Kai whispered.

"Hmmm," I answered sleepily.

"I have to pee," he said.

"Go."

"It's dark."

I groaned as I got up and walked him to the bathroom cutting on the light.

"Mom!"

"Hmm."

"Stay and wait for me."

I waited in the hallway.

"Mom! Where are you?"

"I'm here just in the hallway."

"Can you watch me?"

I sat in the bathroom.

"Did you booboo?" I asked after a while of us just sitting there.

He nodded. After wiping his butt we washed our hands and I walked him back in his room.

"Good night baby."

"Good night Momma."

Walking back to my room I got in bed going back to sleep.

"Mommy... Mommy.. Mommy..." a small voice said directly in my ear.

"Hmm?"

"I'm thirsty."

My eyes opened.

After getting Sophia some water I went back to sleep.

"Momma....Momma..."

"Hmm?"

"I'm hungry."

I rolled over and looked at the clock. It was 7:53 am.

After breakfast Vincent called.

"Hey baby, you okay?" He asked as the iPad was passed to me.

"Yeah just tired. I didn't realize how many times a night the kids bothered you."

He laughed, "Now you see why I want to hire Richard?"

"Yes. Yes I do. And I'm all for it. Like give me his contact number so I can call him."
