Nag-stop over muna kami sa Jollibee para kumain, bigla kasing nag-crave itong dalawang lalaking to sa chicken joy. Then after eating, we went straight to a convenience store to buy Vodka's....what else? Koko Krunch, of course. Hindi talaga siya nagsasawa.
Bumili na din ako ng Boy Bawang for me and Ryder, I'm sure he wants one too, kaya naman kesa pag-agawan namin ang isang pack, apat na ang binili ko.
Past 11 pm na nang makarating kami sa bahay, Vodka's staying at the guestroom. Bukas na ang balik niya sa NYC, nagpunta lang naman siya dito for the premiere night then back to work agad.
"I'll bring him upstairs." He volunteered saka binuhat ang ngayo'y tulog na tulog na si Cryd, "I'll change his clothes too, ako na ang bahala. Puntahan mo na yung legal husband mo."
He emphasized the word legal, saka siya tumawa. I grimaced and grabbed the paper bag kung saan naroon yung bucket meal mula sa Jollibee, at isang plastic na may laman na Koko Krunch at mga Boy Bawang.
Pagpasok namin sa loob, naabutan namin si Britney na nanonood ng isang horror film. Tumayo siya para tulungan ako sa buhat ko, "Kumusta po ang movie?"
"Maganda." I answered lending him the bags, "Nandyan na si Ryder?"
"Opo, Ma'am. Kani-kanina pa po." Sagot niya, tumango ako, "Paki-ayos nalang ang mga yan, papanhik na ako sa taas."
"Okay po, Ma'am." Nakangiti niyang sagog. Tumalikod na ako at nagdiretso sa taas, patungo sa kwarto namin.
When I got inside, I saw him leaning on the headboard of the bed, his eyes were closed. Nagmulat lamang siya ng mata nang maramdaman siguro ang presensiya ko, "Natagalan kayo."
"Pinakain ko pa sila sa Jollibee. Kumain ka na?" I grabbed my PJs.
"Nope. Hindi na ako sumama sa dinner nila. I was hoping to talk to you right away."
I let out a deep sigh before placing my pajamas on the desk, "May uwi kaming bucket meal, you should eat first."
"Cassidy." His voice is soft and my knees trembled because of that.
"We'll talk about the issue later, Ryder. You need to eat." I told him, but he shook his head, "Please, Cassidy."
He tapped the side of the bed, gesturing me to go there and sit beside him, "I thought you'll be wearing the dress I bought you."
"Vodka bought this, he'll be upset if I'll not wear it tonight."
He nodded, nagtungo ako doon at umupo sa tabi niya, "Are you sure you want to talk about it now? Without eating?"
Huminga siya ng malalim saka tumingin sa akin, he looked at me solemnly. His hands held mine, "I don't know who's the girl in the picture, nor where it came from or when that happened, but I assure you, Cassidy, I've been celibate for years, I never had sex with any other girl but you. If I had, I would've remembered it by now."
"What if you're drunk that time that's why you can't remember anything?" I asked, my voice is calm. I don't want to snap right in front of him now and slap him hard because he's a shit-eating asshole.
"I'm never drunk, I assure you that. My dad forbids me, kasi makakasira daw sa career ko. Besides, I've got high tolerance when it comes to alcohol."
"Never?" I narrowed my eyes on him.
"Isang beses lang noong malaman kong umalis ka yet I'm still a little sober that time, I know what I'm doing. And also, I was with my dad." He answered, he squeezed my hand, "You don't want me drinking liquors, so I tried my best not to. Please don't be fooled by the picture, Cass. I love you and I'm always loyal to you."
