**2 YEARS EARLIER**
{Jacie's POV}
"Hey, Matt." I greeted my co-worker at Nando's. Yep, I work here. Everyone's nice here, so its not like its a terrible thing. I need to make a living somehow. I didn't go to college so I can't do much.
"Hey, J." That's the nickname he has for me. He says 'Jacie' is too long. Lazy bum.
I walk into the kitchen, grabbing my apron off the hook and slipping it on. I start to whistle as I preheat the stove. Soon it turns into humming and before I know it I'm quietly singing.
When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
I hear clapping form behind me and I quickly turn my head around to face Matt grinning widly. "Hey, you've got a great voice." He encourages excitedly.
"Yeah right." I scoff, opening a package of potatoes. I grab a few out of the bag and begin peeling them.
"No seriously. I think you should try out for the X-factor or something." He grabs some potatoes out of the bag and beings peeling them as well. I stop peeling at the mention on the X-factor. There goes my good mood. "Hey, what's wrong?" His smile is replaced by a frown. He looked concerned.
"Nothing." I lie.
"I know you better than that, J. Tell me what's wrong." He places a hand beneath my chin to life my head up. He uses his thumb to wipe away tears that I didn't even know were falling.
"Our boss will get mad if we don't get back to work." I say, trying to change the subject. He hesitate for a moment, but goes back to work, letting the subject drop.
I've never told him about Louis. I've never told anyone about him. I don't have anyone to tell anything to anyways. The only friends I have are Matt and, Tammy, my roomate. Me and Matt don't even talk that much anyway. We only work together. Tammy is like a sister to me though. It's good to have someone in my life that's like family. I don't have a family.
"Why don't you go work at the cash register today. I'll get the kitchen ready. People are starting to come in anyways." Matt suggests with a reasurring smile.
"Thanks, Matt." I smile back. I walk out of the kitchen and see a few people already in the restaraunt. "Hi, what can I get you today?" I greet the first costomer in line. He's wearing a black hoody and a pair of Raybans. Weird combination.
"Hi, can I get 5 orders of the Peri Peri chicken, two of them extra spicey?" He speaks with a strange accent. He doesn't sound like he's from around here. Not that its my business.
"Sure thing. That will be $32.47." He hands me his credit card. "Alright, would you like your reciept?" He nods and I hand him the slip of paper. "Is that all for today?" I wait fro his answer, expecting a yes. But instead he grins cheekily.
"Actually.." I lift an eyebrow. This should be good. "May I get this lovely ladie's number?" He winks and I roll my eyes. He turns his cheeky expression into a puppy dog face. A pretty good one, might I add? No..Jacie...resist. Resist the face. Jacie! Before I knew it, I give into the face and scribble my phone number on the reciept. Curse you puppy dog face! "I guess you couldn't resist the face." He winks again, making my giggle slightly. He walks back to his table where 4 other figures were wearing the same thing as him.
This is getting suspicous. Maybe giving him my number was a bad idea..
I continue my gaze on the group of guys, before I spot something familiar. Even under those glasses I can see his peircing blue eyes. The same blue eyes I fell in love with 3 years ago. No it can't be. Now I'm seeing things! I try to convince myself.
The familiar face notices my staring and locks eyes with me. The funny, joking expression he had on second earlier was replaced by recognition and shock. I snap my head back to the next costomer in line, pretending I didn't notice him. When on the inside, I was freaking out.
{Louis' POV}
On the inside, I was freaking out.
I think...I think I just saw someone. Not just anyone. I think I just saw HER. It can't be. Impossible. This is unreal. I can't believe it.
"Something wrong, Lou?" Liam's voice brought me back to reality.
"No, nothing." I lie.
"Checking out that girl, eh?" Zayn nudges me playfully.
"Oh, her?" Harry looks back to where Jacie is standing. "Yeah, I got her number when I ordered our food." My eyes shoot wide open.
"Harry, you can't just ask someone for their number." Liam scolds.
"What? She gave it to me didn't she." He shrugs. At this moment, I'm ready to attack him.
"She has a name." I spat, not noticing what I was saying.
"And what would that be, Louis?" Harry mocks me. I look down at my lap and start fidgeting with my hands.
"That's Jacie." I mutter just above a whisper. Before they could say anything else, I get up from my seat at the table and make my way outside into the car that brought us here. I began to cry. I don't care if it made me look weak. I actually saw HER. It was her.
