Chapter 1: Books

So this fanfict is just an idea given to me by a pic (the one on the top). Oh and there will be cuss words on Nico's part.

Btw if you haven't seen, some of the characters that are in the real world never appeared in the book. And those in bold letters are A/Ns or side comments (I just can't help but commen on my own story XD)

Nico Di Angelo sighed in defeat as he entered the bookstore. His friends had convinced him to read a book, even if it was a fictional one. He roamed the fictional books section to see if something catches his eye. Row after row of boring books (for him at least) a book title caught his eye. "Percy Jackson and the Olympians." It caught his eye because he was always a fan of greek mythology ever since he knew of the game Mythomagic.

Nico saw it already has 2 series and 5 books each. He debated on wheter or not he was interested enough to read through it all. "Ahh, fuck it." He said grabbing the first book of the series, remembering the bet they had. He went to the counter and paid for the book, the cashier giving him a curious look as the cashier placed it in a paper bag due to him being a high schooler and buying a book for 12 year olds.

He paid for the book and snatched the paper bag wanting to go home and lock himself up in his room avoiding all human interaction.

Upon entering the house he walked straight to his room only to be stopped by his only remaining family member, his annoying but caring sister, Bianca Di Angelo. "Where have you been, Nico?" She asked worried, not wanting to lose his brother when she lost her parents. "The bookstore." He mumbled. "The bookstore? Why'd you go there?" She pried, curious at Nico's sudden visit to said place. "Reyna made me buy a book." He lifted the paper bag to show Bianca which in turn made her smile. "She's a good friend. Okay, go read that book before it goes to waste." She stepped aside to let Nico go. He nodded to his sister and continued his walk to his room.

As soon as he got in he threw the book unto his bed and he followed it ripping the paper bag open. Leaning back on the head boared he flipped the book open.

'The Lightning Thief' he read.

'Chapter 1: I ACCIDENTALLY VAPORIZE MY PRE-ALGEBRA TEACHER' Nico snorted at the chapter title "Well atleast the titles are good."

'Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood.

If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now.

Believe what-ever lie your mom or dad told you about your birth, and try to lead a normal life.

Being a half-blood is dangerous. It's scary. Most of the time, it gets you killed in painful, nasty ways.'

By now, Nico was intrigued.

'If you're a normal kid, reading this because you think it's fiction, great. Read on. I envy you for being
able to believe that none of this ever happened.

But if you recognize yourself in these pages-if you feel something stirring inside-stop reading immediately. You might be one of us. And once you know that, it's only a mat-ter of time before they
sense it too, and they'll come for you.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

My name is Percy Jackson.'

Nico continued reading, never noticing the time. Only when his sister called him for dinner did he drop the book.

"So, how was the book?" Bianca asked, laying down the food on the table. "Good enough to keep me reading." He replied not wanting to admit that it had gotten him completely hooked, especially on the main character, Percy Jackson.

They ate silently with the older Di Angelo making small talk and the youger answering with even smaller answers, his mind too preocupied on what would happen next on the book. By the time he was done eating and done the dishes he already come up with multiple outcomes for the next chapter which was 'My mother teaches me bull fighting' seeing as he knew greek mythology before hand he guessed it was either the minotaur or the colchis bull.

As months passed Nico kept reading on his free times and he kept buying book after book. He was now a fan of Percy Jackson although his favorite god was Hades. He would feel how the characters feel and sometimes think he was in the book himself.

One day, he was already on the book The Titan's Curse where Percy and gang were on their way to grab the demigods of Hades, he lasted until 2 am before he passed out from fatigue of staying up late, with the book held up high above his head (the one where you lay on your back and the book above your face with the danger of you letting it go and it falling on your face.) which caused him to let go of the hardbound covered book and hit him full force on the noggin.

He shot up from his bed from the pain grabbing the book, which was nowhere to be found and all he grabbed were mythomagic cards. "What the-" he said looking at the cards when his sister's voice cut him off "Do NOT finish that sentence Nico Di Angelo." He turned looked up to see his sister and a castle like looking room with wodden gym floors and teens in semi-formal clothes like his sister dancing to music. "Bianca?" He said, eyebrows scrunched in confusion. He looked down on himself and saw himself shorter and in semi-formal clothes too. He yelped and jumped in surprise, catching the attention of those near him and his sister giving him an irritated yet worried look (don't ask me how but I know how that looks like) "Wh-where are we?" He asked slowly. Bianca's face relaxed and her lips twitched to a smile only to release a light laugh. "I know school has been hard, but I didn't think it would be hard enough to scoop your brains out." He gave an offended look in answer. "Bianca, you've graduated highschool for three years now and besides it's summer break. Why are we in school? And I don't remember going to a castle for school." Looking around trying to digest the situation, it's not like panicking will help his cause. His sister sighed and said "Well if you must know, we are in Westover Hall in Maine. We're at a school dance, dummy." She lightly knocked his forehead as if to see if someone, or something, was in there. The youngest Di Angelo swatted his sister's hand away when a weird looking man short gray hair and black military-style uniform with red trim and a clean-shaven. "M-Mr. Thorn." Bianca said to the man nervously, she was obviously scared of him, while Nico just looks blankly at the teacher. "Come with me." Mr. Thorn said with an accent, french maybe. While his sister nodded and stood up, Nico, on the other hand, refused to go with the weird man.

His sister gave im a look as if saying 'What are you doing?! Get up!' apparently this Mr. Thorn guy was an impatient one, he grabbed them by the back of their collars and dragged them out the room to some hallways. Finally, after all the silence, they decided to talk "Uhm, Mr. Thorn? Where are we going? Are-are we in trouble?" Bianca asked "Quiet." The Vice Principal snapped back, "Sheesh, he"s even grumpier than me." Nico mumbled, "I said quiet!" He roared.

After awhile of walking from hallway to hallway they finally stopped. "Do not move and stay quiet." Mr. Thorn said with a frightening growl, which nonetheless froze them in place. The man walked back to the side of the entrace just as a teenager with a glowing sword came in 'Is that a sword?!' Nico looked in shock. He looked to the teen to ask what's with the sword which was a big mistake. He finally got a good look at the other's features. Messy raven black hair, sea green eyes, bronze leaf-shaped sword. Horror and realization dawned on him 'oh fuck, I am totally screwed.'

'Im in the Percy Jackson world aren't I?'

Ahahaha, okay Im going to leave this with a cliffhanger to get you warmed up. First time I wrote a fanfict that I finished and had inspiration on so... hope ya like it. Oh and I update inconsistently, but I WILL try to update as fast as I can. And with that, Glitch out. *waves bye*
