Laura's POV
Cassidy, the one who's been helping me through this, came over today. She was my new... friend. "So, Laura. How long were you guys friends?"
"We'd been friends since kindergarten. It was in the 2nd grade I'd started crushing on him. Soon came 7th grade, I knew it was love. And now here I am, haven't talked to him in a year."
"Wow. 11 years friends. 9 years he was your crush. 4 years, he was your true love.
"Yep... That's why it's been so hard not talking to him. He never answers my calls, texts, anything."
"I'm so sorry, Laura" Cassidy hugged me, and tars started falling down my face. We were sitting at the bay window, where I watched Ross walk home alone, making it a week... Where the heck is Courtney?
"Cassidy, he's walking home alone again."
"A week now, isn't it?"
"Yep. Cassidy... he's turning into my driveway..."
"Laura, do you think they may have broken up?"
"Possibly... Cassidy, he's in the house. Do you think you could maybe..."
"Of course, Laura. Call me if you need me back here tonight."
"Thanks, Cassidy."
"No problem. See ya!"
-x-
"L-Laura?"
"ROSS! What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to say I'm s-sorry. Me and Courtney broke up last week, Riker passed 6 months ago, Rydel and Ellington moved to Péru, and Rocky moved to Australia. And Ryland is just too depressed about everything he barely comes out of his room anymore. I got no one Laura... I was hoping you could... be my friend again."
"Oh, so that's why you're coming back? Because you have no one? I had no one for a year, because of you! You were all I had! You b-broke my heart. You left when I needed you the most..."
"It's just a heart."
"No, my heart is like no other. Because you broke it. You broke my heart, Ross!"
"What do you mean?"
"You chose Courtney, and never hung out with me anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if you do drugs because of her now! I l-loved...I love you, Ross."
"Laura, I didn't know you liked me! I would have chosen you. I loved you, and I still do, I just thought you didn't like me back, never mind love, so I tried to move on, but that didn't work! And here I am."
"So... what you're saying is... you l-love me?"
"Yeah, Laur. Eversince kindergarten."
"Why didn't you...say anything?"
"Why didn't you?"
"I don't kn-" I started to say, but then... he kissed me. Ross kissed me. It was a sweet kiss, and it contained all the words ever left unsaid. We parted, "R-Ross."
"I love you, Laura."
"I love you too, Ross."
