My sought solace
By: TheNameIsJullianne
Never did it occur to me
That this could have happen so suddenly.
Life is but a bed of roses
Full of fragrant petals yet with piercing thorns.
How can I be mistaken?
By surprise, I was taken.
Life is but a box of fluffy marshmallows
Looks bulgy and yet so shallow
A moment I was happy
Another I was lonely.
Life is but a broken clock
Sometimes it slows and worst it stops.
None was there when I needed.
None was there when I sought.
Time has passed and here I stay
Rotted at the same spot I was left in gray.
But am I to actually complain?
When all I do is sit in vain?
And wait until this feeling dies
So I would move on and have a life.
For life is nothing now
Because of you, I broke my vow.
To stop it all is to live alone
And find my solace I’ve sought for so long.
