I was running. I knew I was running from something but didn't know what. I couldn't stop either. I was running through a forest. Huge trees think like a cars and as tall as the sky surrounded me. Suddenly I came to a clearing. I was a huge clearing with a small cabin at the far edge. I ran towards it. When I reached I opened the door and went inside closing it behind me. Out of breath and panting I weakly called out. "Hello? Is anybody here?"

I walked through the small cabin. There wasn't much in it. A few books and chairs. I look through all the rooms. There weren't that many. I was about to walk into the last room when something called me name. "Alisa!" I spun around but didn't see anything. I opened the door to see...

Suddenly I was awake. My mom was calling my name. "Alisa? Alisa are you home?"

"yeah up here mom."

I looked at my hands they already look like prunes. I look that clock to see it was 4:25 pm. I had been in the bath for almost an hour. The water was barely warm now. I drained the water grabbed my towel and headed to my room. I put on my favorit grey sweats and my bugs bunny tee. I went down stairs into the kitchen where my mom was.

"How was your day?" she asked.

"Good I guess" I lied.

"That's not what I heard." she said with mad eyes. "Your principle called me today and told me you got in a fight."

Shit! I thought to myself.

"oops?". I said.

"Alisa, what happened? Come on you have to stop this. This is the third time this year and it's only February."

"Hey the first time wasn't my fault! She started it!".

"I don't care who started it! Alisa seriously what's wrong?" she was almost yelling now.

"You wouldn't understand! You never understand!" I turned and ran to my room. I slammed the door shut and locked my door.

The thing about my mom is I'm pretty sure she was never a teenager. I think she skipped that whole part of her life. She didn't understand what I was going through. Ever. I couldn't talk to her. She would just get mad. At me no matter what. All She ever told me about were the bad things I had done. Not the hood things. And it was always my fault. At least when my dad was alive he never yelled. He always told me I did good even if I didnt. I miss him so much.

I turned my music on loud enough so I couldn't hear my mom. She texted instead. she told me she had to go back to work for a bit and that she would be back at 12:00 am. I didn't reply. I went and sat on my bed at looked out my window. I didnt know how long I was sitting that for but a while layer my mom got in her car and left.

I got up and went down stairs. I was hungry now. I went to the fridge and took out the left over stew from the night before. I put some in a bowl and put it in the microwave. I rsn up stairs and grabbed my phone and started texting my friend Dawn.
