o.1 ~ Beacon Hills

It took approximately three hours for Addylin to wake after she collapsed from exhaustion and after her crystal blues eyes came into focus with the room around her , she deducted that she was in a hospital room due to the blank white walls and typical blue sheets draped over her. She also found an IV stuck in her arm and with a grunt she gripped the wire and yanked it from her skin , small droplets of crimson splattering the floor.

Addylin hated hospitals. She always had. When she was only thirteen she was in the car with her parents on a busy highway heading from California , to go and see her aunt , when her father has turned to look at his laughing daughter in the back seat and failed to notice the skidding Toyota that was flying toward them. Only when it collided head first into their small Ford did he realise , but by that time his wife and been propelled straight into the windscreen and he found himself impalled by the long stretch of metal from the apposing car.

The final thing he heard where the distant screams of his daughter that sounded as though they were miles away ; she was seated right behind him crying.

Shaking the vivid memory from her mind , Addylin gripped the edge of the bed before drapsing her legs over it , and gently sliding down until her toes touched the bare ground. It was only after that did a nurse rush in. The woman looked middle aged with almost bushy black hair and soft brown eyes. The badge that was seated on her blue scrubs read ''Melissa Mcall''.

''Addylin , god what have you done to your arm?!''

Melissa nearly screeched at the girl and she deduced that Ms. Mcall was definitely a mother ; she simply had that touch and sincerity that a mother possessed.  Addylin chuckled wryly to herself before outstretching her hand infront of her , gesturing for the woman to leave her be when she nearly shot forward to help her.

''I can help myself. But I-I need to leave.''

The blue scrubs she wore were rather loose on her frame and casting her gaze down , she could see clearly the bruises she had gotten and a few red marks scattered on her legs ; she'll survive a few scratches from thorns and twigs.

''Oh no no. You need to rest. Addylin , do you know where you are?''

The girl pinched her brows together in confusion , thinking back to what she could remember. She remembered running around an area that looked desert like , and she smacked her head lightly to try and make her remember.

''Nevada? I think I was in Nevada.''

Melissa's features contorted to a look of worry before she breathed out heavily , and she crouched next to the girl whom was sitting on the hospital bed.

''Addylin , you're in Beacon Hills , California.''
