Chapter 6

~ HALEY'S POV ~

I was rambling a lot hoping he would forget about the dreaded question. I could tell he wasn't falling for it, he seemed like he genuinely cared for me and he was worried about what happened.

I was daydreaming ...(defo not about us having children)... When I heard Niall say "sorry to keep asking, but who were you running from earlier and why did you seem so upset when I found you in the hall?" my heart froze, shit how do I answer him?

"I u-um, well, you see, uhm.." I stuttered trying to think of what to say.

"you don't have to tell me but I am here for you and I know we've only just met but I care for you and I want you to know that" Niall replied smiling at me.

"okay do you deserve to know the truth, I was running away from Matt who's my ex boyfriend. He was awful and only used me for my body and because I was popular back in year 11, one day I went home to find photoshopped photos of me half naked all over Matts Facebook, they weren't me I swear, I'm not like that!" I explained, Niall nodded to show he understood and was wanting me to carry on, so I did.

"the photos got printed by some bitches at my school and they got posted on every door, every locker and practically any wall space for everyone to see. My life was made a living hell. I obviously dumped Matt and moved on, being constantly bullied by all my old friends and getting called "skank" and "slut" and "whore", so when I finally found a boy who loved me for me, I loved him back, but then Matt found out...." I started to tear up at the memory.

--FLASHBACK--

"no Matt, leave him alone, he never did anything to you" I screamed, fisting Matts back as he punched the hell outta my boyfriend Ben.

"fuck off you little whore, you don't deserve anyone's love, look at you for gods sakes, your an ugly piece of shit" Matt hollered back at me, one hand gripping my wrist so I couldn't run away and the other hand making constant contact with ben's stomach.

--FLASHBACK OVER--

Ben made it okay, he had 2 broken ribs but he survived thank god. Although he thought being with me was only going to get him beat up so he moved onto Cindie, my old best friend, one of the popular girls who then turned on me when the photoshopped pics of me were sent to everyone.

I explained this all to Niall and how Matt is now coming after me because he said he has finished beating up anyone who came close to me and now he wants to hurt me, so I fled.
