Chapter 8

-CHAPTER 8-

"Well bye Kayla." I said smiling. She nodded and waved as she left. I remembered about Rose and Steph and flinched when I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket. I quickly took it out and checked who it was. Rose... "Hello?" I quietly asked, brushing a strap of hair off my face. "So, is Kayla still there?" Rose asked with a sense of annoyance. "Wow gee, what a really nice way of saying hi!" I said sarcasticly, rolling my eyes. Were they really jealous of Kayla? "Hi. Happy?" Rose mumbled as I sighed. "No, she isn't here. She just left, and why are you so annoyed with her?" I asked, putting a hand on my hip. 

Silence.

"Rose.." I said warningly. "We'll be right over." she quickly said, hanging up. "He-Hello? Ugh! What the hell!" I yelled throwing the phone on my red, fuzzy sofa that was just installed in my room. "Well, might as well do something fun." I told myself as I got my pink nail polish and sat down on the soft sofa. "Slowly.." I said deeply as I slowly painted my toe nails.

"Do you really think our own bestie would be talking shit about us?" I asked frowning. How could Stephani not trust Jane? "No, but... I don't like Kayla! W-What if she steals our best friend??" Steph said biting her lower lip. "She won't. I promise." I softly said as Stephani's cheeks held tears and hugged me. "Call her." Steph quitely stated, her voice being shaky. "Okay. Don't worry, everything will be fine." I softly c'ooed as she nodded and squeezed me. I grabbed my phone from the counter and dialed Jane. "Hello?" Jane quietly asked. "So, is Kayla still there?" I asked, annoyed with Kayla. Why did she just have to come and take away Jane?

"Wow gee, wha a really nice way of saying hi!" Jane said full of sarcasm. Whoops, I forgot about that... "Hi. Happy?" I mumbled as she sighed. "No, she isn't here. She just left, and why are you so annoyed with her?" she asked. 

Silence. 

"Rose..." she said warningly as I saw Steph curled up in a ball, sobbing. "We'll be right over." I said quickly, hanging up, I ran over to her and shook her. "Steph? What's wrong girl?" I asked frowning as she lifted her head up. "What if Kayla takes away Janey?" Steph asked as if she were a little girl and I was her mommy. "She won't Steph, I promise." I said smiling and pulling her to stand up. "Now let's go visit Jane." I stated, getting my car keys and going in the car with Steph.

I knocked Jane's bedroom door as I heard a shreek and then a thump. I heard her curse as footsteps came close to the door. "Hey guys." Jane said smiling as she let us in. She glanced at Stephani who's eyes were red and puffy as Jane's smile faded. "Oh my gosh Steph, what's wrong?" she asked touching Stephani's shoulder. "Don't touch me. Why don't you go touch Kayla?" Steph screamed and stormed out of the room. "Stephani, wait!" Jane said going after her. I followed them as I heard a gasp from Stephani. "Hello Jane, Stephani, Rose..." a thick Irish accent said as I made an 'o' shape with my mouth. It was Niall. He eyed Jane as he smirked and saw Steph crying. "Why you crying Steph?" he asked as I furrowed my eyes and said, "Because she fucking-" I was cut off by dark blue eyes staring at me. "I wasn't talking to you Rosey." Niall scolded as I stepped back and glanced at Jane. "Niall..." Jane warningly said as she mouthed us to leave.
