Addicted To You

I don't know just how it happened,

I let down my guard.

Swore I'd never fall in love again,

But I fell hard.

When Dan Howell pressed the subscribe button to AmazingPhil's channel, he didn't think it would turn out like this. The idea of watching a male British vlogger on YouTube that was 4 years older than him and lived on the other side of the country didn't seem to look this dangerous; it seemed almost innocent even.

Guess I should have seen it coming,

Caught me by surprise.

I wasn't looking where I was going,

I fell into your eyes.

"Daniel James Howell!" His mother yelled for the third time. "Okay! I'm coming! Jeez." He immediately closed his laptop after the video was over and the screen turned black.
"You need to stop your unhealthy obsession with this AmazingPhil boy. You look like you're bloody in love with him or something!" His mother had always scolded him each time he opened YouTube to watch his videos. Dan felt as his cheeks turned red and he stuttered a weak reply, "I am not in love with him, mom."
But as Dan watched another one or Phil's videos, he can't help but fall into a slight trance whenever he notices the colour - or colours, since it always varies with Phil's eyes - of his irises and thought, "What is love actually?"

Okay, Dan Howell may have a slight obsession towards Phil Lester, but when he started noticing Dan on Twitter, that's when the unhealthy obsession started; when he became addicted.
Exchanging messages and tweets through Twitter and Facebook tuened into daily skype sessions. The casual small talk turned to deep and meaningful conversations about life, and the more he trued to stay away, the more he can't.

"You know, you could start your own YouTube channel, Dan. Start making your own videos." Phil's husky, sleepy voice said as Dan stared at the pixelated face on his screen. The clock on his bedside table says 2:04 a.m. and he was surprised that Phil stayed up with hin since Dan video called him on 9:00 p.m.

Hooked on your love.

Dan chuckled at the ridiculous thought of himself making YouTube videos for others to see and stopped when he saw Phil's confused face on his screen. "Uhm, I mean... Not much of my friends, actually now that I come to think about it, none of my friends have ever suggested an idea so crazy." Dan looked down, refusing to meet Phil's eyes. "Well I just did, and I'm your friend right, Dan?"
And in that moment when their eyes met, Dan Howell knew that he was falling for Phil Lester.

Like a powerful drug,

I can't get enough of.

"Y-yeah. Of course you are, Phil. You're my best friend." He could feel the heat rising up to his cheeks as he asked Phil, "But am I your friend?"
