A group of friends sat in a full diner joking and playing around like typical teens do on a Saturday night. One of the girls, a ginger by the name of Natalie, noticed a girl sitting alone in one of the booths.

The girl was tall and lanky with dark almond shaped eyes that seemed like bottomless pits that could look into your soul. Her skin was a milky white color as if sunlight avoided her for some unknown reason. Her honey colored hair was cropped in the back and long in the front half of it was braided in tight braids that made her fairy like features stand out. .

Natalie wrinkled her nose at what the girl wore. The girl's top was a blue and white striped tank with a tight black leather jacket that had chains hanging from the bottom pockets to the center of the back. Fish net stockings crossed the pale skin of her legs going up to rest under the red and black catholic school girl skirt she was wearing.

"Hey, anyone know who she is?" Natalie asked turning to the rest of the group hooking her perfectly manicured thumb in the girl's direction.

One of the boys, a tall well built blonde by the name of Rome, looked around Natalie at the girl who was sipping her coffee and reading an old worn out novel. "That's Lillian Steel. She's the poster child for psycho." he said making small circles with his index finger around his ear.

"I hear she's a witch that turns guys that refuse to date her into animals, then she mounts their heads on her bedroom walls." a tall chubby guy by the name of Richard said in a low voice glancing at Lillian as she turned one of the old yellowed pages of the novel.

The group stopped talking and stared at Lillian who had put her now empty coffee cup down. "I can't believe you guys! You don't even know the girl and you're spreading rumors about her?! That's just wrong.I'm gonna go over and talk to her." a tall beautiful brunette named Kimberly said scornfully.

"Ok miss goodie goodie. Go and talk to the whack job but don't come running to us when she puts a curse on you and all your hair falls out." Natalie said rolling her wide heavily shaded hazel eyes at Kimberly as Kimberly slid out from the red overstuffed booth seat. "God I can't stand her!" Natalie said when Kimberly was out of earshot. Richard and Rome nodded not really listening their eyes were on Kimberly's ass as it swayed with each step she took, her glittery silver heels clicking on the powder blue tiles of the diner floor.

"Hi, I'm Kimberly."

Lillian looked up from the page she was reading and stared at Kimberly studying her with curious eyes.

Kimberly was wearing a black, red, and tan floral print sundress that showed off her tan perfectly built arms; her dark hair fell over her shoulders. She looked at Lillian with friendly chocolate brown eyes.

"Hi, I'm Lillian!" Lillian's voice was high and full of friendliness. "How's it going?"

Kimberly was slightly surprised by Lillian's friendly tone, she had expected Lillian to be all doom and gloom not sunny and cheerful. " I'm doing pretty good. Mind if I join you?" she asked gesturing to the empty booth seat across form Lillian.

"Yeah sure. The only person sitting there is bob my imaginary friend." Lillian said laughing at her own joke as Kimberly sat down smiling. "So what brings you over to the witch's table...need a potion want me to put a spell on someone?" Lillian said leaning back in the over stuffed seat her tank slid up slightly revealing her pale stomach.

"What-no. I just saw you sitting here by yourself and thought you'd like some company." Kimberly said raising a perfect eyebrow staring at Lillian, shocked at how calmly she had said everything as if it we just a common part of life.

Lillian's almond shaped eyes opened wider, her rose pink lips opened slightly. "Oh? Well that's different. Usually the only time people come to talk to me is when they want me to do the voodoo." As she said it Lillian raised her slim fingers and wiggled them at Kimberly.

Kimberly shook her head a smile on her bright red lips. "My, my, my. You're a little more animated then what I would have expected..."Kimberly glanced up at the old round clock ticking above the order window and gasped. "Oh no! I've got to go..."

Lillian stuck out her bottom lip pouting. "Awww so soon? Well nice talking with you, I need to be going anyways. My dad will skin me alive if I'm late." Lillian hopped up landing lightly on her boot covered feet and skipped her way to the glass door,

Kimberly hurried after her stumbling a little as one of her heels slipped on the tile floor. "Hey...you think we can...you know...be friends?"

Lillian gave a big toothy grin that showed off her porcelain white teeth. "Of course we can." she said opening the door causing the bell to jingle. Before she took off into the dark street Lillian looked over her shoulder and said with a little wave of her fingers. "Bye bye Kimberly."

Lillian shivered as the cool night wind shot through the front of her opened black leather jacket. "Is it me or did it just drop down a few degrees?" she wondered to herself as she walked down a shortcut to her house.

The shortcut was between an old abandoned parking lot and a field. The parking lot had an old rusted chain link fence around it, on the top rested strings of weather worn barbed wire that was falling in some places. Tall weeds grew from in between the giant cracks marring the old worn cement.

The grass in the field swayed in the direction of the night wind giving the field a water like movement, dark outlines of tall pines stood in the back of the field reaching into the night sky as if they were trying to grab the very stars that twinkled above them.

Lillian turned to look at the dark field and it's unearthly beauty not noticing the cracks in the old parking lot was growing bigger.

"What do we have here? A human snack just for me." a deep rumbling voice chuckled causing the ground to shake.

Lillian's breath caught in her throat as she whirled around, her skirt flying up revealing the small black silk underwear she wore. "Who...who's there?" her voice quivered as she spoke, her heart was pounding in her chest, her breath was coming in short and fast. Her body screamed at her to run but her legs were firmly fixed to the asphalt road held there by fear.

Loud popping sounds filled the air as the old cement of the parking lot began to crack and rise. The center of the parking lot caved in smoke bellowing out of the hole. Silence followed as if the earth held its breath waiting to see what will happen. Lillian's already wide eyes opened wider as a dark shape slowly appeared out of the hole.

Lillian's jaw dropped as the figure started walking towards her, finally after what seemed like ages Lillian was finally able to move. Slowly she started backing up her slim hands held up her palms facing the being. "What the fu-" she started to say as something shot from where she assumed the creature's mouth was. Lillian didn't get to finish as something warm and squishy wrapped tightly around one of her boots and pulled her off her feet causing her to fall back hitting her head on the concrete knocking herself unconscious with a loud thump.
