I awoke in a frantic panic. It had happened again. The dreams; they were back.It had only been a few weeks since they had stopped, but it had felt like a life time. I was finally able to sleep through the night without awaking my mother with a blood-curdling scream. The nights were almost peaceful again, and I was beginning to enjoy it.
I lay in bed, my heavy breathes echoing through my room. I wasn't ready for them to be back. Not yet. I was still trying to get over the trauma that created them in the first place. But I suppose that it's time to return back to reality, time to face what I have been bluntly ignoring for the past few weeks. I have secrets that I keep. Secrets that could ruin more lives than my own. Secrets that result in him never speaking to me again. But that's the point of secrets isn't it?
