The duo surged forward, their now physical heads knocking Nat-mo and I back into Ghastly Gorge. Nat-mo screamed, and our front hooves flailed. It was the strangest thing, it felt like someone was freaking out inside of me.
"Starlight!" She yelled. "What are you waiting for?!"
"Oh, right!" I replied, using our back hooves to make us fall head first, then I opened my wings, catching air and streaking up and out of the canyon.
"You maniac! What took you so long?" She scolded.
"I was a tad bit distracted by the fact that we are both part of the same pony." I said, landing on the cliff we'd fallen from. My gaze moved over to where the four princesses stood, Celestia and Luna's manes no longer flowing, their horns pulsing with a red energy, their eyes glowing a sinister blue and smoking purple. All the other ponies shared their eyes and stood deathly still. We stepped forward. The Dark Royals had fled, but abandoned their corrupted army in a state of mindlessness.
"We're supposed to restore them." Nat-mo murmured. "Thats what the books said to do but how do we do it? I read my book to the end, and it never said anything about this."
"Well, I was corrupted when the Queen of Corruption touched me with her hoof." I reasoned, "Maybe if you touched them with your hoof, they would be restored."
"Don't you mean our hooves?" She asked.
"Unless it's not considered weird for another pony to place their back hoof on somepony's head, I think it'll be your hoof." I replied.
"Oh...right." She sighed. We clopped over the nearest princess, Princess Luna, and Nat-mo placed a hoof on her head and the effect was immediate. Energy the color of our mane flowed down our hoof and gently spiraled around Luna's body, her eyes reverting to their original color, and her mane returning to it's shimmering flowing state. As if she had been frozen in motion, all at once she surged forward her wing forcefully striking us down by our neck. She gasped and let us go just as quickly.
"Sister? What...?" Luna asked, her eyes wide.
"No, I'm Nat-mo and this is Starlight." Nat-mo replied.
"We are the Thought Plain and Dreamworld Vessels or something like that." I added.
"But you are one pony...one alicorn..." She countered.
"This happened after we were almost defeated." I replied. Her expression grew angry.
"The dark ones... where are they?" She asked.
"They fled." Nat-mo replied.
"Very well. We must free the ponies, please...revive my sister so that we may right the moon and sun." She said. Nat-mo nodded and allowed our energy to flow about Celesta. She rose slowly, the energy from our mane and tail shrinking as her's grew, until the energy ran out. There was a bright light and Nat-mo and I returned to the forms we possessed in the strange white space. We watched as Celestia lowered the sun, and Luna cast a spell that put all the ponies to sleep. The sisters went about returning the ponies to their homes, including Princess Cadence and Princess Twilight. "They should all wake up and think everything was a bad dream, and while they sleep I can fix the damages the royals have caused."
"Thank you for reviving me, now I will take us to the castle until we can make arrangements for you. You two have been stuck inside illusions for a very long time. The homes you lived in weren't real, and neither were the families you lived with. You have been sought out for a long time. Come, you have acted valiantly, let me take you to get your things, then we shall head for Canterlot." Princess Celestia explained. And with a bright, warm, flash we were gone.
