Who am I? To be fair, I have not the slightest clue. I am still not sure of this simple fact. But is it really that simple?
I am Kaya. Kaya Slaiye -- at least, that is the name They have given to me. This name is practically the only thing anyone knows about me. Unfortunately, that includes myself. I reside on a plane of nonexistence called Luxia. It is somewhat like what one would see as a dreamscape; this world is everything, yet it is nothing. You see, in this world, anything can be created, and anything can happen. Just as long as they abide by some rules and regulations They have put in place, of course.
How long have I been in this strange world? How did I get here? 5 years. And all I know is that I'm dead... or something like it. 5 years ago, I stopped existing. Oh, how much simpler it would be to say I died that day. But it is not the truth, and I am vividly aware of it. Time suddenly slowed, and I saw my life flash before my eyes... But rather than die, I simply vanished. And I ended up here. In this lonely world, where I can do nothing but waste my time.
A small light flashed in the distance. I looked up, hearing hastened footsteps growing louder as two figures approached me. I straightened my posture and looked right on ahead."Kaya. Let's go."
"Mm." They have arrived.
Two familiar women stood before me with serious expressions on their face, one with toned skin and faded, sand-blonde hair resting just past her shoulders, the other with fair skin and pink-dyed hair that seemed to never lose its rich value, most of which was tied up into two small, messy buns, aside from messy bangs that covered her forehead. The pink-haired woman gestured at me. The blonde smiled at me.
I followed Them back to where they appeared from, passing my creations along the way. I took a moment to glance at garden though. Stars, I had forgotten to tend to it today. Oh well. I can always make a new one if the plants failed (which, of course, they wouldn't). I kept walking behind Them. After the short and quiet trip, we approached the local transport pad. The two women stepped onto it and disappeared immediately. I followed suit.
I wonder... Was it Them who brought me here? I have observed these people for so long, though, and it does not seem so, even though they insist it was their doing. But alas, They have never been able to state a reason. They seemed uncertain when I met them, and they constantly examine me. Just like They were doing now.
We appeared in front of a futuristic-looking building. While I entertained myself in my own little living space, this was where They wasted their time -- though "wasting" time may be an ignorant way to define what They do. This was the Control Center.
I followed Them through a hallway, passing four or five closed doors and making a right turn. We passed another room and entered the very next one, which was already open.
The routinely experience was nothing too interesting nor exciting. They didn't plan on adding anything else to do, so the checkup commenced normally. I was asked to create objects. I complied. They tested my skills in magic. Same as usual."Zima, would you please record our observations?"
"Of course." The blonde nodded curtly. She smiled and scurried out the door.
By the end of the examination, there were books and gardening tools scattered all over the floor, some pages in books slightly singed. The pages were blank, of course; I was too lazy to create any books with actual material in them. Oh, did I mention I accidentally melted a shovel I conjured up? Too bad. I could have made use of it."You're free to go. Be on your way."
"Yes, Ma'am."
So I left.
