They were looking for me, I was certain of it. They've kept a keen eye on me ever since I came to Their world, as I've noticed. Even some of the people I have grown closed to have been watched over. How could I, one simple girl, be so important?
Hm... Hm. I stood before the door and hesitated. She didn't bother to respond to any of the, like what, 247 messages I sent her between yesterday and this morning? Jeez, Kaya must really hate me. I scrolled through my questioning messages to her on my tablet. Hmm...... I fixed my blue beret and curled my light brown hair nervously.
........."KAYAAA!!!" I sighed. Maybe Kaya really doesn't love me anymore...
I waited in front of her home. Minutes passed. I sighed again and thought of leaving. She was probably offended in some way by the drawing I sent her... But why? It held so much sentimentality!
I fell to my knees and covered my face with my palms as my eyes teared up. That's it, I'm just a failure of a friend! How could I let this happen!? And now she's ignoring me completely! Oh, dear, what am I to do with myself? I need to get myself together!
Hm? I heard the door creak open. I looked up and saw a familiar face. One that sighed and released a small laugh as it recognized who stood ahead."Oh, it's you, Kraigstead."
"Hello, Lady Tina! Where's Kaya? May I come inside?"
"I'm actually not quite sure where Kaya is," she sighed. "She went out and never returned..."
"What!? Think she's okay??"
"I don't know... I'm starting to worry myself."
"She hasn't been answering any of my messages!! She must hate me. Yes, that's it! That's why she left!!"
Tina returned a glance of ridicule. "Please, Miss Kraigstead, I'm sure such a trivial thing is far from the reason."
"It must be!" I stared at her determinedly, but I was stopped as the door imminently swung open. Both Tina and I turned rapidly and tensed. At least I shook. It was the pink-haired woman, Miani.
"Oh, h-hello there!" I said, greeting her.
"What can we do for you, M-Miss?" Tina said routinely. The woman stared into our souls.
"Where is she!?" Miani exclaimed. "Where is Kaya Slaiye!?"
Tina smiled nervously and shrugged. "Miss, I-I wish we could help, but, um, we have no idea, either!"
"I know." Miani sighed and relaxed. She sat down at a desk with a mirror placed upon it. She looked at her reflection for a moment, then she turned back to us.
"You know?" Tina asked.
"You believe us?" I questioned, before stopping to think. Whoops.
"Of course I do." Miani stood up suddenly.
"So then," I pried. "Does that mean you have a clue of where she is?"
"Yes, and I'll have an even bigger clue if Miss Tina tells me where Kaya went last night."
"Don't you know?" Tina replied. "She went to see that Takagam guy, the one she's been in touch with so much lately." She folded her arms. "I think she was transported to Mellenia."
Wow, I'm jealous. I've never been there. Heard it's quite a sight. I wanna seeeeeee!!"As I thought. But that man would never pull such a stunt. He is far too cautious. Thus, it must be..." She put a finger to her lip.
"Who is it then!?" I shouted a bit too loudly. I wanted to know what happened to my poor, dear Kaya!
"I think this was Viper's doing." Miani glanced over at Tina, who shuddered at the utterance of her remark.
"V-Viper!?" Tina recoiled and took a step back. Why was she so worked up?
"Viper?" I looked at Miani, then Tina. Then Miani again. "Who's Viper?" I was definitely the only one here confuzzled.
Miani gave me an expressionless stare. "He is the one man who is constantly able to resist against our procedures, and he very much enjoys toying with us." I noticed Tina stare at the ground and scratch her head. Miani continued, "And he has certainly done a number on some of our officers."
We were then silent for a moment. Silent and distressed.

We must have flown for about an hour and a half, and all the while, I couldn't resist shutting my eyes. Finally we gently landed on a cliff with a small house resting upon the hills. Viper removed his arm and leaned over to retrieve the stretched-out metal attached to his feet. With a touch of a button on both, they jumped up and recombined with one another. He clutched the squares and shoved them in his pocket.
"We're here."
I looked around. The view was fantastic. It was also very dark out. Even the bottom of my hair seemed darker than usual, but it could just be my tired eyes. "It sure is late."
"Yeah. Sorry it was such a long ride."
"Oh, yeah... It's alright." I felt my face warm up. "At least I have you to help me."
"Let's get some sleep."
"Yeah, we should probably do that." He led me into the house. I was exhausted.
"Five years... It has been five years since I was last in a real house like this one." I barely realized I said this aloud.
"Wow, five years?" Viper raised his eyebrow. "I don't think I could survive in Luxia for so long."
"Yeah, well," I responded, unsure of myself. "I guess I wished to die knowing who I really was."
"I see." He retrieved his shades from a jacket pocket and put them back on. "Kaya, go get some sleep in."
"Sure, but what about you?"
"I need to take a look at something. I'll wake you if anything happens."
"Yes. Alright." I found my way into a bedroom with a end table right by the bed. There was a lit lamp on it. I walked over and collapsed on the bed, seeing Viper leave with the door open just before my eyes shut. I fell fast asleep immediately.

I left the room, not bothering to close the door. Who knows, something might happen. I walked outside the house and approached the cliffs. Sitting down, I pulled out a very real tablet. I pulled up the local news of Luxia. Nothing. I fixed the position of my glasses and tried looking at some sensitive information. Blocked, of course. I opened up a tab on the page and typed in a password after inputting a few notes. Security breached. That wasn't hard. But then again, I had broken in many times before.
Information was spilled. There were several notes and comments on the location of this girl, Kaya. The blonde had mentioned earlier that they may be looking for her... Guess she was right. They were in a panic. Who knew she was such a big deal back there? Looks like I'll have to make a return trip to that hellhole of a place. I sighed. After all, I do kind of want to help her.
I walked back inside and turned to the room Kaya had retreated to. It seemed as though she had found it quite comfortable on the bed. The lamp was still lit. Looks like she's asleep. But wait. Something isn't right...
I came up close to her and grabbed the lamp, turning its light upon her.
Her hair had turned obsidian black.
