**Violet's POV**It was awkward at first. I guess we didn't really have anything to talk about considering we didn't even know each other up until an hour ago. Until she decided to start conversation.
"I like the name Violet." she said out of the blue, " I guess we have something in common since we both have purple themed names"
"Which name do you prefer to be called? Lavender or Brooke?" I asked curiously. I'd heard her be called both and it was starting to confuse me slightly.
"Brooke. Although I love the name lavender, It brings back too many memories of my dad" she glanced at the floor and I saw her begin to tear up.
I grabbed her hand and held it under the table before changing topics. "Hey, it's kinda boring here, why don't we go something fun?" I smirked as she looked at me curiously
"Like?"
"What did you like doing back in England for fun?"
"Skateboarding" her eyes twinkled a little as she said it
"Oh my God. I never knew you liked to skate!! It's my favorite thing to do. I know a great stake park not to far from here. but I think we need to stop by the mall. I might need to pick up a new board,It's been a while." I stated while standing up and retrieving my belongings.
"Let's go then," she stood up and linked arms with me as we walked out of Starbucks. It was a very short car ride as the mall was only 5 minutes away from the Starbucks location we were at
We reached the mall and we were beginning to make out way to the my favorite store in this whole place. It's called Skaters Glory. Anything you need for anything related to skateboards, scooters, skates and things like that, they sure as hell have it there!! When we entered, the look on her face was priceless. Her jaw looked like it was unhinged at this point.
"Hey Brooke, are you alright there." I said trying to disguise my laugh with a cough.
" This place is incredible" she said in a daze.
She began to go through all the isles and eventually she decided to pick a white board with purple wheels and detailing. I picked the same but in reverse, purple board and white wheels and detailing.

When we got there, it was deserted. Apart from a group of 5 teens in the corner. They looked our way and waved. Not knowing what to do, we waved back. I recognised them from my school. They we're what us populars called "The Rejects" purely for the fact that they didn't conform to societies rules.
"Do you know them?" Brooke asked curiously, looking in their direction.
"Not really, I think they go to my school" I replied Casually, not wanting to come off as a douche
" Ah okay," we stood their in silence for what seemed like forever until she piped up, "Well are we gonna skate or what?" she asked with her adorable British accent. I swear I could listen to her speak forever. And I could also look at her forever. She had looks to die for.
And before I knew it, she was off down the biggest ramp with absolutely no protection. I found myself screaming her name in fear. To my surprise, she didn't fail, she kept going. she was quite good if I do say so myself. Brooke was pulling all the tricks out of the bag to the point that the people that were sitting in the corner of the park got up and walked over to catch a glimpse of the awesomeness that was unraveling in front of me.
They started cheering which distracted Brooke for millisecond. That millisecond was enough to throw her off, causing her to land with a thud on the cold concrete ground. They stood there in shock while I slid down the ramp to reach the now injured girl on the floor. She was sitting up and grabbing her ankle. The group of people were now behind me, stood in fear as they looked at what they had caused.
